Hey Skip, it's actually just two stock oil coolers run in tandem. The oil comes out the filter housing to the first stock cooler, exits and then runs over to the second stock cooler(turned inverted and mounted in the same position just opposite side of the radiator side support brackets) and the oil exits the second cooler and goes back to the filter housing. When I get home next week, I'll take a good overview picture of it for you, on the ground where you can see everything, very simple really. John gave us this for the race car for all the work I've done assisting in stripping his car, ie the arms you have and MANY more items.

Very cool. Did John run this configuration on his car on the track. I am curious how big of a difference it makes. Thanks for the information.

Paint pics...paint is Imron(stone greay and lime green), Jim figured it would certianly last longer in a track application. The lighting shows a little discoloration but there is actually only a little gloss difference - the actual color is very close and a shot of the LR head, o-ringed.

Wolfgang, we did away with the pipes totally. Jim just took a small side grinder and cut them off at the firewall and simply put some cap plugs on them inside the car. The water that goes out the back of the head, I think we are going to do a hose from there to the pipe by the exhaust manifolds and just let the water flow and recirculate through there back to the water pump.

Hmmm.. at first i thought about just plugging both pipes... but i think connecting the both pipes together is the better way cause its keeping the water circulating...

Another question: How do you get rid of the remaining glue from the carpets...

Regards,
Wolfgang

Here is a basic diagram of the cooling system, keep in mind our new turbo is oil cooled.

GAWD, that is hot! Love the color combo's by the way. PLEASE keep boring us with more pics!

I was thinking, are you gonna go for the Carbon fiber panels? You know...fenders, hood, bumpers...etc..

No no no,,,the budget, she is dying a slow and painful death, stretched to the limit; the refresh items, clutch, sway bars, and fuel injectors. We do have a few more parts to sell but not much. We'll report the tally of cost, hp and weight when we're done 100%(yeah I realize you're never finished so sorry about that statement)

Thanks for compliments Taylor. As I've previously stated, most of if not all goes the Jim(jwl) as he has toiled and toiled. He's had some help with guys who work for him, they have all had a great time, but he has been the driving force down there in Corpus.

SKI,

Is that a Lemans tail or is it just the angle?

Very perceptive; opposite sides of where they should be. They have been on and off so much with the car on the lift, off the lift, rear end out, shocks, etc...but we'll get it right before we hit the track

Scott, just the angle. However the race car that we're stripping has a LeMans spoiler on it. It was done at Kelly Moss and has a newly sealed rear hatch if you want to come and get it...of course bring your check book.
