Make sure the spring plate bushings allow the rear suspension arms to move freely! I had to disassemble and resize the housings after installing the first time, thirty five hours additional work!
........

Thanks for the tip Dave because Jim had to redo the greasing; so he could move them by hand with a lot of effort...very tight but should be fine now.
.......

I have the same susp. as both of you guys. Your going to luv it. I think the arms not moving freely by hand is'nt an issue. My drivers side makes some noise and is stiffer than the pass. side. I have had no poor issures since it siffened up: just some noise. So far i'm not willing to spend that kind of time or $. I can live with the noise.

Bret,

Not to hijack your thread, but here's a pic of what replaced the bar now in your project car. Something to think about for stage II...

Looks great Don! Pulled the tranny off the race car that we're parting today, it got sold to one of the main vendors around the board for a race car. That was one sweet tranny just out of our budget.

Pulling the twin oil cooler setup on the race car Wed for our DE car. We're going thru the motor first week on June: rod bearings, belts/water pump, refreshed/o-ringed head, hoses, vacuum lines, Kokeln turbo, LR III MAF, Mafterburner piggyback, RSR clutch, lightened flywheel, etc.

Thanks for all the feedback on the project!

Well it's been a busy time at JABRacing. Front bumper cover, front splitter, vented nose panel and rear valance should be back from paint tomorrow and myself or Jim will post some pics. Splitter and the rear valance are going to be "lime green" and probably the front of the mirrors. Bumper cover and vented nose panel have been shot stone grey. Got the o-ringed head in from LR today and Jim said it looked great. Sold the non-LSD tranny and have the 89 LSD to go in after clutch and rod bearings are done next month.

So...it's time to go down the road and pick up the refresh items from Jason at Paragon, Boostguy's intercooler pipes should be hitting the shop soon(hint hint) and the KLA strut brace was mailed out yesterday. We got a great deal on a lightened flywheel, clutch kit and a twin factory oil cooler setup with braided hose, aeroquip fittings - I mean this thing is nice. Worked up a little intercooler duct for the vented nose panel...more tomorrow.

Hi Ski. I'm just looking at the intercooler duct there: Is there an escape route for the incoming air?

If there isn't, the duct will scoop up all the incoming air, and it will remain stagnant in front of the intercooler, which will be warming the air in front of it.

You'd have much better cooling if you provide an exit route for the incoming air, or in otherwords, provide a constant flow of fresh cold air.

If that's not clear I'll draw a picture for you.

Hey Bret,

Great progress. I was just wondering a couple days ago when you would post more pics.

Sounds like the head I sent LR worked out pretty well.

Keep up the good work and keep posting the pics! You should assemble all the pics in one place, like a Rennlist Gallery. ;-)

Yes it did Alex! Worked out very well.

I have all the pics on my hard drive and I was going to build a gallery when finished, funny you should mention that.

Hey Ski,

Car looks great. What's the scoop on the dual oil cooler setup. I would be interested in hearing some details on that.
