I measured the actual buterfly plate of my 87S4. It is 75mm.
I measured the actual buterfly plate of the TB I am using. It is 80mm.
I assumed it was a Euro TB.
Is there some other 928 TB that is biger than the S4?

I've had a reply from one guy who breaks 928s and he has a set of Euro S2 runners and plenum, and is looking for the TB to go with it. I'm now waiting for confirmation.
He sells parts at a very reasonable cost. At present, the price iincluding shipping looks in the range $420-450. ( The shipping is quite high cost because of the weight. About $100.)
Is this price of interest ?

Thats actually not a bad price vconsidering you will have to adapt them to the US engine which will be minor parts and machine labor. I am doing the same thing to my 82. I already have the Euro runners, plenum and TB. I have a pair of fuel regulators for the set up as well along with a pair of MSDS headers. I paid around $700 just for the runners, plenum, TB and regs.
You will have to open up your exhaust some if you want the full benefit of the Euro parts. I think you may need the regulators too.
I haven't decided on how I am going to plumb the exhaust yet. I need to decide on an "X" or a "Y" and then a test pipe to where I can stuff a cat in at inspection time.
I also have a nitrous kit ready to be hooked up. Still contemplating as to whether I am going to use it or not. I want to see the dyno results just from the previous bolt on's as compared to my stock dyno sheet.

yes, I agree. I would think that $1000 or so would be fair for a euro intake system. If you get the entire set for $750, you are doing well . its a great adder. remember, 42hp, bolt on to the rear wheels. you really dont need to get the headers, but it adds to the package. (meaning that the gains with and without headers probably wouldnt be that different as a percentage gain.) fuel regs are not needed either, but it does give 5hp and makes the mixure better (ie in the 12.5 :1 fuel mixure for full throttle range)

As you know, that nitrous kit was just great. 50 solid hp to the rear wheels. perfect mixture.
Iwould think if you have the plennum and the runners, an aftermarket throttle body could be used. a simple mounting plate to the "U" on the US Ljet would all you would need to mate them to the bolt pattern. harware to linkage would be the other challenge. (that would be easy)

What area do the MSDS or Devek headers perform most in, Lower, midrange, upper or all of the above? How does the Fuel pressure regulator increase power?
Thanks,
Cory J.

the headers basicallly just shifted up the curve in all areas.
most of the gains are in the top end. even the intake changes, didnt really do a whole lot to peak torque, but peak hp went up 42hp!
fuel regs just dial in the pressure for good safe ratios.most hp you can gain with them is in the 5hp range. generally, even the stock 84 ran in the 13:1 range and as high as 13.6 . with the regulator, we got it down to 12.5:1 and the hp went up 3hp.
The AFM is amazingly good at increasing more fuel based on most any mods. we are going to dyno the stock 82 this weekend that we just put on the euro intake stuff. my guess is that it is around 230rear wheel and has only intake and MSDS headers.
My guess is that the fuel will be 13.5:1

Hey Mark,
Could you send me the dyno sheet or possibly post it on this topic of the 82 Car you are dynoing. And are you doing seperate tests for each part such as the TB runners and plenum itself ,then just the headers etc..?
Thanks,
Cory J.

nah, I used to be that **** about it all, like on my old 84. dyno stock , dyno with ct removed, dyno with headers, dyno with intake, dyno with fuel regs dyno with eRAM, dyno with 5 liter bottom end. got a pretty clear picture of what does what. generally, the intake was the largest gainer, maybe just slightly less than the 5 liter with euro heads upgrade!
I will get you copies of the stock 82 with headers and intake. if it is 230ish, we know the headers are about 10-20hp and the car itself is in the 170-190ish to begin with. remember this car was rated at 230 flywheel at the factory.

Weissach1982 & toofast928,
I have an Euro intake and plenum from an 80 K-Jet. I believe the injector seats are different, though it may be possible to use them?
