The shirts, the sticker, the town green, the registrations - kudos to the team.
I'm sorta here already, having driven down for another event I'll be attending during the week.I can give a seminar on properly tooting one's horn, but only if it's French.
I just stopped to see Otto (Eplesomething) about his wheels. He's got a nice new garage. After a tense drive down the Jersey Turnpike, I'm holed up in Beltsville for the night.
I'll send a PDF of this over to J.P. to add to the Frenzy website. Greg has worked up mobile turn-by-turn routes for Google Maps that will appear on the site as well. I'll export typed turn-by-turn directions for this map....or you can just keep your eyes on the @$$ of the car in front of you (that shouldn't be too hard).
NOTICE: See where the arrows at Lovettsville point in opposite directions? Due to the high turnout this year we can expect the leading and trailing 928s to pass each other going in opposite directions. Someone needs to have a Go Pro mounted on the left side of their car.
I'll be going down from N.J. on Friday. My'83 decided to spring a leak in that 3" long P.O.S. hose from the engine block to the heater. I've ordered the part from 928Intl so I should get it next week. I have office on Thursday so I can't join you guys going down then.
I headed up from Charlotte Friday morning, if anybody is going I-77 to I-81 route, maybe we could meet up somewhere? I am a little concerned about this Colonial Pipeline Issue, already starting to cause gas lines here, and it supposed to effect Virginia also, may be a problem until next week-

Sorry to hear that, but I experienced that two days last year prior to leaving. Non suffice to say I was very PISSED, but I was able to fix it by working late on the car the night prior to leaving and all was fine. Good Luck. I feel your pain !
Instead of deciding now that you'll park offsite at Oktoberfest, I'd wait to see just how tight things are at the Green on the day of. I'm guessing that an hour or so before heading out on the Fun Run, Greg will have a pretty good idea as to whether the Green can accommodate everyone who wants their cars to be onsite.
It'll be tight, but we all may be able to fit.
Jon has mapped out a very nice Fun Run route for us. I gave it a test drive a couple weekends ago, and I really liked it a lot. Thanks, Jon!
J.P. has updated the "Fun Run" tab on 928 Frenzy web site with the latest info. So, be sure to check that out.
I really like Shawn's idea of using Glympse to keep track of the groups traveling to and from Frenzy, as well as during the Fun Run. So, install the app if you're interested, and use "928Frenzy20" as the sharing tag.

Well, I think that Sean had decided quite a while ago that he was going to leave his car parked in Texas and fly up. So, that's probably what he means by "off site!"
If anyone is on a waiting list for the HI, call now, as I just cancelled my 2 nights. No Frenzy for me this year, so as an exercise in self-laceration I'll sign in to Glympse to watch everyone assemble and go on Jon's fun run. While wearing my new jacket, crying in my beer...
I sent an email out to all the Frenzy attendees to find out whether they were planning to attend Oktoberfest. I received a small number of replies from folks saying they had other plans. So, I think we will end up with around fifty-five 928s at Oktoberfest. It will be tight, but we should be able to fit that many cars into our reserved area on the Green.
I also received several replies from attendees saying they would be willing to park off-Green, if that would help. So, I appreciate those offers.
Here's what I think will work. Those attendees who feel it's important to have their car on the Green should position themselves to be in the first half or 2/3rds of the Fun Run departure group. Those who wouldn't mind parking off-Green, please fall in toward the end of the pack.
So, our goal is to fit everyone on the Green that wants to park there. But how smoothly this actually works out remains to be seen. So, please be patient and flexible when we reach Lovettsville.
We're planning to do something of a "928 Parade" as we roll into Lovettsville, attempting to form clusters of six to ten 928s as we come north on Berlin Pike into town and then take the route shown shown above in post #212.
If you're not doing the Fun Run, please do not head to the Green on your own. We want to all get there at approximately the same time. My suggestion would be for you to hang out at Franklin Park for about an hour, following the Fun Run progress on Glympse, if you'd like. Once the 928s start rolling by the Franklin Park exit, you can join in with the middle or rear of the pack, in line with the parking considerations mentioned above.
I'm sorry this is all a bit complicated, but if things work out according to plan, it's going to be an amazing sight.
