Steven:
  • Accommodations are on you, so call the Holiday Inn Dulles as soon as possible. That's where everyone is and where the parking lot party happens. A couple rooms freed up, so you might be in luck. 928 Frenzy has a group rate, but you might be too late for it.
  • Go out to the web site http://928frenzy.org and follow the registration instructions which will take you to another site. I'm not sure if you can still get t-shirts, it depends on when they're being printed or if Greg had some extras made.
  • PM Greg and let him know if you're set on parking on the green at the Octoberfest.
That should be it.

Did I forget anything?

Oh yeah: Check the Frenzy Buy/Sell/Trade thread to see if anyone has a MAF.

Default About shirts -

The T shirt order went in 10 days ago. That's the lead time that we generally need to get a flawless order ready to pick up prior to Friday.
I picked them up today and they look great!
We always consider late registrations, walk-ins, etc. and pad our order accordingly. But every year it's tight and we haven't had extras the last couple of years, so no guarantees for last minute registrations.
If there are some folks who come late and the shirts are out, we're truly sorry. But if you really want a shirt or two, you may be able to buy directly from the printer. He keeps the screens for a few weeks. I can't say what the cost would be, but it would be reasonable I suspect, since the screens have already been made. I'm happy to pass on the info.

**Using the Greenway is nice and wide open, but it does come at a price. A single toll is over $4.00 off-peak even if you are only on it for a mile or two. $5.00 from end to end. There are other toll free options, but like Greg says, they aren't as nice a drive as the Greenway.

And well patrolled by the VASP on contract w/ the roadway owner.

I had an idea from a comment that gregg made.

How about someone starting a groupme group. we use it a lot for large group functions. it is like group texting, but allows the users to remain anonymous outside the group ( group does not get your phone numbers, personal info, etc). whenever a message, pic etc, is sent it goes out to whole group. you can at the end if the function end the group or individually unsubscribe. Its an app that works on any device.

i can start the group, but i think it would be more appropriate from someone that is in charge of the event.

I meant Steve183, who's coming in from Connecticut.

So... Why not pick up your son early? I'm picking up my daughter around 10:30. As long as they're there for two hours, it counts as an attended day.

I don't think Greg will mind, and we're a pretty democratic bunch. We introduced 'Glympse' last year, and it looks like we're going to use it again. A group messaging app would be a big plus, I think.

Post up instructions and a couple of screen caps so we know how to set it up.
