Wow! Thanks Greg and everyone for the warm welcome already. OK then, count me in for Saturday. Wife already has commitments that weekend so she unfortunately will not be able to enjoy the raw, awesome, power and beauty of the hallowed 9.2.8.
(Insert familiar backstory here): The first and only time I rode in a 928 I was 17 and at a friends house. A guys showed up with one and we went to the store. Acceleration, breaking, handling, and comfort were like nothing I had ever experienced before or since. Fast forward 30 years and there was one parked next to me at a golf course in California. It was a metallic red 86.5 manual, and clearly had been rode hard and put away wet. Still, I was smitten. My brother, (who I had just defeated soundly) not so much. What does he know, he drives a 5 series. The only other time I saw one was an beautiful black later model that blew past me on the 495 one day as I was going over the George Washington bridge. I tried to follow in my Jeep, but 80 mph is tops for that thing so he was long gone in a few seconds.
Again, thanks for the strong welcome and I am looking very forward to meeting and talking with everyone in the group (or does this count as a cult?).![Wink](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/wink.gif)
Looking forward to September with increased vigor,
Rick

Frenzy volunteer Bruce Bade has made some arrangements for Frenzy attendees to be able to watch the PCA Club Race on Sunday. So, the following optional Frenzy activity for Sunday Sept. 25 is now set:
9:00 Drive from Holiday Inn Dulles to Summit Point Motorsports Park
10:00 Watch PCA's Club Race
~noon Take a few Parade Laps for Charity on the main track
Frenzy attendees did parade laps at Summit Point a couple of years ago, and it was a lot of fun.
Shortly before we line up for the laps, we will go into a briefing room to hear the rules, sign a waiver form and make a $20 donation to a PCA Potomac charity. You will also want to remove or secure any loose items in your car. Some of the corners are taken at a pretty good speed! There is no guarantee as to how many laps we will get. It depends on several factors. However, if we all behave and follow the rules, they will be more inclined to let us stay out longer.

BOOKED! SO BOOKED! I'll be in on Thursday.
REALLY looking forward to the Oktoberfest! That was so much fun when we did that. Did we get the okay for the parade through town? I think everyone involved got a huge kick out of that.

That first year I was eyeing a beautiful white OB owned - and for sale - by a nice older gentleman with a little dog along. I wasn't really looking for a white car, though. The next year I was about an hour late agreeing to buy the first of Kevin's blue Sharks a couple weeks before Frenzy. (I can't remember if I went in the 951 again, or if I took the Cayenne that year.) Last year - my third Frenzy - I finally came down in a Shark.

Awesome Greg. Great job Bruce! Those Summit Point parade laps are a blast. I was in the group that did them 2 years ago, and we went pretty hot for parade laps! Highly recommend/.

The "parade" down a street that had been blocked off for pedestrians sure was a highlight, and the people milling around loved it...but it was actually an improvised way to get us downtown to improvised parking areas. I've been in contact with the town councilman in charge of Oktoberfest...working on improved parking coordination and retaining our impressive rumbling arrival.

does the holiday inn link work for anyone? It seems to bring up a generic reservation page for me.
--edit: nevermind, it worked.
I'll still might just camp in the bus at octoberfest.![Smilie](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
or maybe we can use it as a shuttle for the Texass folks.

Tony, Bob, Thom, Pete,
Definitely meet up for lunch, but I'll be heading down Friday morning. I'll pick a place for lunch that is easy to get to off RT. 78.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
