Click on the link I posted. It goes direct to the dealer's site, not Hemmings. Price is $34K. Mileage is 48,060.

Thanks for the bid, Ed! I actually had a conversation with my BAT listing editor as to when to open the auction and we agreed to wait until after the black '93 GTS ended today, just seemed like bad juju to have both running at the same time.

I love your GTS Rob, and have some space in the garage too. I'm probably not going to go too far on it though, and I think it will far eclipse what I put up. It gets the conversation moving in the right direction though!

Beautiful Rob. You should have told me it was going to be up for sale when I asked about the '95 that Joel D. was selling! But, I'm sure yours will sell for far more than my 'budget' would tolerate! This is going to be fun to watch in the last 30 minutes!

Gary

PS: Rob, I'm a little confused between pictures 144 and 145. Intakes tubes are different! By the way, I threw the original ones on my '95 in the trash. Those OE tubes never look good (except on the '93 that just sold on BAT).

Hi Gary-

Good eye! We shot the car on two different days, it was too overcast on the first shoot. I swapped the original intake tubes back on for the second shoot, after very gingerly cleaning them. Apologies for not having mentioned the car to you but I've become a fan of letting BAT figure out what the market is- good comps are so few and far between and I'm terrible at trying to guess at an appropriate asking price. Always a bit of a risk to go to auction but it'll be an entertaining week....

I assume you've seen Paul's ex E9 3.0CS hotrod, which goes off on Thursday?

There should be some fireworks at the end of that auction!

Rob,

Clearly understand your reasons for BAT. That is why I sold my e9 there nearly 2 years ago (I sold mine the same week Paul sold his privately). He and I communicated a bit while you guys were having fun restoring the 928 he bought.

Yep, I saw his previously owned e9 listed, and immediately clicked on "watch', just as I did on your GTS. Neither of you two sellers need any 'luck' in this auction. Both are beautiful and well sorted cars (although the e9 IS a bit further from 'stock'!! - ha).

Cheers,

Gary

Bob,

I'm a bit out of position for this one with all of my other undertakings. Your car is truly one of the most desirable GTS's on the planet.

Thank god it is not a 95 with sport seats in that condition, I'd have a mortgage!

Good luck with the auction and if there is not a tear in your eye when it leaves, you are not human!

Regards,

Dave

That's a great color! Looks very close in shade to my Lapis Blue BMW 635CSi.
