This guy claims to have the 79 Scarface 928. Apparently he says the car is in St. Petersburg, Florida and that the car will never be for sale. He said that it is currently white with 16" rims and that his dad got after filming at his porsche repair shop back then. Link is below. Wonder if anybody can change his mind.
"Maybe I can help, this car is owned by my Father and now resides in St. Pete Fl. He purchased after the movie was shot, as he owned a porsche specialty repair shop, doing one off customs rebuild etc. The car was pretty badly beaten up in filming. It is now white with 16 inch rims. The car is a 79. but was given a light facelift by the film makers to appear just a bit more like the current model (when movie was filmed). No the car is not for sale. No the car will never be for sale in my fathers lifetime. The car and 140 +/- other including a 59 coupe with 19k miles and a 56 speedster that hasn't seen the rain since 58 have all been placed in trust to his church."
I have enjoyed the past 8 years of stewardship of my early, S4 but it will be time to pass this car on to someone else to care for and enjoy. I do not intend to fully market the car until the spring but figured I would post in case someone here is interested in a car that, I believe, is a true 928 unicorn.

Improvement Areas:
Oil Pressure Sender Leak - there is a small leaks coming from the oil pressure sender where it attaches to the pan. The sender unit is new (replaced when the gasket was done) and should just need the locking nut tightened. We would have done it during the last oil change but the filter was installed and oil filled before we realized the issue.
Dash/pod cracks - the dash has some small cracks starting at the vents and the pod has a large crack down the center. The two options for replacement are to buy new parts from Porsche (availability was confirmed earlier this year) or to have them recovered by R Budd. The R. Budd option would have seams whereas the Porsche option would be factory correct. I figured that I would let the next caretaker choose the appropriate option. I will also include a dashboard core with the car.
Original radio, shift lever, steering wheel, air pump, air pump diverter valve, and muffler will also be included as part of the sale.
All service since 2007 has been performed by Dave Chamberland (Worf928). In fact, we know that Dave has been the only mechanic to perform timing belt service on this car. All service records are available for review. I will plan to detail the interior and have professional pictures taken in the spring but can certainly provide additional pictures as the car sits now to anyone interested. Here are a few pictures.
Asking price: $47,500 USD
Please send a PM if interested
Not quite the market that I had hoped for in the spring but figured I would give this post a bump before the car goes into storage. Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Been a while since I had free time to peruse the for sale ads. Anybody else finding themselves more busy somehow being sheltered-in-place?
At any rate here is what looks like a potential nice driver quality 86.5. Great color and no rubbies. Sure it's got a lot of miles but that probably means the mx was kept up, well at least until 6 years ago. At $8500 its worth a further look.
