It was imported into the USA early on from Europe. It has a 5.0 liter 32 valve engine with manual transmission. It has a full leather interior including dash, door cards and seats are from what would normally be an S4. It has a euro fog light as well. All interior lights are in German. All writing on parts are in German.

Definitely looks imported since it has the ugly side markers - but it has the NA 32V engine instead of the 16v twin dizzy....

I did zoom into one pic and it does appear to have S4 brakes, so that would lead us to believe this is a 86 rather than 85...
wonder if anyone can zoom in on the vin tag near the hood latch to check the actual vin?

Curious... an "EU import" with a non-European instrument cluster? Two things stand out - no European delivered cars ever had the speedo in mph unless this car was originally a UK delivered vehicle and has had a LHD conversion (which may make sense with new dashboard, seats, etc.), and in the EU, we never say 'Gasoline'... I owned an '87 S4 here (German delivered), and it says 'Eurosuper' on the cluster, which is petrol, bensin, gasoline, etc.

The speedo would have been changed as part of the import conversion. Which means that the true mileage is unknown. (Further, the trip meter at zero may mean the odometer is not working.)

The gasoline label is not factory. Notice there is also a decidedly non-factory "BRAKE" sticker over the oil pressure gauge translating "BREMSLICHT".

Call me crazy, but I think this wide front/rear fenders conversion along with flipping headlights are kind of nicely done as compared to others. Leather dash looks like in decent shape
Ken, have you a chance to look at this in person? Let me know if you are not interested in this. Maybe I can park it at my inlaws in NE Portland.

thanks-Hoi

Doesn't look too terrible I agree. ROW S3 manual is a good foundation. At least there are no fake Ferrari vents on the rear fenders!

I haven't gone to see it and am not interested in another project. My new-to-me '80 mouse-house still needs a lot of attention.

Description:
1994 Porsche 928 GTS
Black Exterior / Champagne Interior / Black Carpets
Only 56,300 miles

The 928 GTS was available for sale in the spring of 1992 as an early 1993 model in North America. Changed bodywork, larger front brakes and a new, more powerful 5.4 L, 350 PS (257 kW/345 hp) engine were the big advertised changes; what Porsche wasn't advertising was the price. Loaded GTS models could eclipse US$100,000, making them among the most expensive cars on the road at the time. This severely hampered sales despite the model's high competency and long standard equipment list. Porsche discontinued the GTS model in 1995 after shipping only 482 of them to the United States.

This vehicle is one of the first 19 US bound models for the model year. These 19 units were actually built in the spring of 1993, months before the normal model year change in August. These M718 option were constructed using previous model year ('93) parts like the desirable Cup I wheels, but did utilize a 1994 model year VIN sequence.

This 928 was sold new by Champion Porsche in Pompano Beach Florida with a sticker price of $85,646. It is Black over tan leather, no rub strips, and has the automatic transmission. The odometer is showing just 56,300 miles. The car is accident free, Carfax certified, and wears its original paint. It has been professionally detailed several times since I purchased in 2012. The paint and interior show extremely well. The carpets and front seat covers have been replaced. The original audio system has also been upgraded and the original Cup I wheels were refinished by Wheel Enhancement in the spring of 2015 and are wrapped in Yokohama Neova tires installed at that time.

I purchased the car from renowned 928 dealer Michael Willhoit in October of 2012. After purchase, I set about on taking what was already a very good 928 to the next level. Over the next few years, the car went to 928 expert and mechanic Greg Brown at Precision Motorwerks. There the car received the following totaling over $32,000:

- new motor mounts, oil pan gasket
- new Bilstein shocks front and rear
- R&R rear suspension carrier and upper control arms
- ride height adjusted and full alignment
- new carpet throughout
- brakes and PSD service
- R&R oil cooler
- Powder coated manifold and valve covers
- R&R manifold
- new thermostat
- rebuilt tensioner
- new water pump
- new timing belt
- new GB fuel lines
- custom GB ventilation kit
- new rear quarter glass seals
- new front brake pads
- Porken clamp
- new cam gears
- Custom GB Headers
- Custom GB Exhaust with Cats
- new 30lb fuel injectors
- new throttle switch
- carbon cleaned the engine
- SharkTuner installed with custom maps

Other parts installed during my ownership include:
- Classic 9 (Rob Budd) front seat covers
- Classic 9 (Rob Budd) interior carpeting & pads
- Drivers Seat rebuilt with new foam
- Paul Champaign Shift Boot
- Paul Champaign Center Console
- Paul Champaign custom storage boxes
- Paul Champaign Rear Luggage Cover
- Custom wheel well liners by Jerry Feather
- 3M Ceramic window tint
- Clear Bra on front bumper and hood
- Ceramic Pro Coated including wheels
- Coco Mats
- Aluminum Engine under tray
- JVC Bluetooth Head Unit
- RockFord Fosgate amplifier
- JL Audio Sub Amplifier
- Project 9 (Hans) Front Door Speakers
- Pioneer Subwoofer

Blemishes:
- Windshield (original) has some small stone chips/divots
- Front bumper has some minor stone chips that have been filled
- Small rock chip on 1 wheel (front passenger side) - see photo
- Lower front spoiler has minor scratches on sides and bottom
- Paint "thin spots" on curve of rear hatch near glass
- "Milky" spot under ceramic coating (passenger side rear roof area) - very hard to see unless angle and lighting are just right
- Transmission position dash light "P" has burned out bulb - I have not replaced because need to remove the pod to access

In the past seven years I have owned this vehicle, I have invested over $45,000 making it one of best 928's on the road today. This 928 has been very well cared for. She is fast, comfortable and reliable - A true GT.

Sale includes full book of receipts, original radio, cd changer, intake tubes, two keys, California Car Cover, all books, radio key card, and other spare/original parts.

The car is located in Dallas, Texas. Please call/text me at 310-three-five-seven-0884 or wjhoffmann@hotmail.com
