OK. So what's wrong with it? It's the jump post cover, right?

Ladies and Gentlemen, I finally have my '86.5 listed. I have finally completed all the maintenance and finished mourning.... so it's time. It's been a difficult road and decision but it will help me fund my building project. I have it mainly on ebay now but will copy the ad text here and a couple main pics. Sean has been extremely helpful in getting her ready for a buyer. He insisted I keep it and drive it.
It's been a Texas car it's whole life. Let me know what you think and of course, any questions.

1986.5 Porsche 928 S for sale. In preparation for the sale I have had everything repaired on the car short of some small paint flaws. Everything is in perfect working order and all maintenance items are very recently done. The car remains almost entirely stock apart from the wheels and radio. Original manhole cover wheels on hand. I hate buying cars that have not been treated properly so I am making sure that this will be a very happy experience for the buyer. All maintenance is documented and available for viewing. Service was done at 928 Doctors in Denton, TX. Feel free to contact them for opinions. Listed below are most of the items accomplished this year and a few last year:
  • Timing belt, tensioner and water pump
  • Entire climate control system
  • Top end refresh
  • Intake refresh
  • Fuel lines
  • Vacuum lines
  • ABS system
  • Cruise control
  • Dash display
  • Dash, pod and console recover by Classic 9 Leather Shop
  • Tune-up
  • Texas legal full window tint
  • 1982 powder coated phone dial wheels and new y rated tires
  • Gas filler flap and boot
  • Hatch and hood gas struts
  • All openings weather stripping
  • All LED lights interior and exterior except head and fog lights
  • Jerry Feather cowl cover
  • Hatch release mechanisms
  • AC system
  • Power steering hoses

Flaws include:
  • Small spot of clear coat peel on rear bumper cover. (photo)
  • Small dings and rock chips (all in photos)
  • Hatch carpet faded
  • Missing one rear floor carpet pad
  • Small chip in original windscreen

That is strange. Just claims damage as normal wear??

I just looked under the sale info, it says preview and pickup both at "private residence". I think someone selling it might just be letting copart auction it off... strange.

Copart offers this service known as "remarketing" to private parties and dealers alike to move inventory with less hassle and zero repercussions. They usually have a reserve in place and watch for self bidding

Default "Near Perfect" '79 5spd, no reserve, NJ

I say "near perfect" based on seller's very specific descriptions. No affiliation.
(Is this someone's car/former car on Rennlist? Seems familiar.)

They do a real disservice when over-saturating the photos. Looks like the seller is trying to hide something. Terrible pictures

Also, the front spoiler added without including the front brake duct cut outs in the bumper cover. Looks bad, but because the way the spoiler mounts, you can't just take it off without getting into a substantial project.

Even without considering the seller's reputation here and elsewhere, one of the glaring inconsistencies of this listing is that it's always been babied, kept in a garage its entire life, and has never been smoked in.
How on earth can the seller of a multiple owner vehicle make that statement?
