Shameless plug of the car I am selling. Needed the money for a tractor and want to spend more time on my '85.

'86.5 5-speed, Gaurds Red over all-leather black interior, no rubbies, 102K miles

https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1986-porsche-928s-33/

I saw this car in-person last summer at a car show. Got to chat with the owner. Nice guy with a larger collection. He liked the 928 but I got the impression he had other collectibles he coveted more. He didn't realize it was an 86.5 until I told him about the VIN number showed him how to spot one based on the rear jack points. The car looked really nice and the all leather dash and center console were in very good condition. My guess is that this will go somewhere between $22K-$27K.

'78 5-speed w/pasha. Says it's a Euro with side marker delete. No rubbies and original radio perhaps? Says its the 78th car but doesn't list the vin, so could be no. 68 but would be cool if it was actually no. 78 and is a '78.

That is an interesting car Nate. The intake tubes are the ones Jim sells, so maybe he knows this car. Something about it looks familiar (I could swear I'd seen its face before). Anyway, the ad inartfully states that it was a preproduction press car, but that is highly unlikely. There were only 11 of them, beginning with vin 11. Also, it has the little details that the preproduction cars did not have, like beading between the bumper covers and the body.

I do like it! Dang it, I’m trying to reduce my car count! I would buy it but I have a low VIN 78 coming in this next week.

You're not going to just leave that there are you, and assume we'd gloss over and miss it
Wadcha get?

Eric has decided to sell one of his low serial number 78's. I believe Jim has it...

That's my guess...

Jim - do you recognize the one in the above ad wearing your intake tubes?
