928s for Sale

I did notice that, but these colors can be weird that way and 80's paint with aluminum / steel compared to whatever rubber / plastic the bumpers are made from can fade different.
I'm not disagreeing, just not 100% sure myself.

His reason to sell is a bummer. Great taste in motors.

I like this car, the outside and interior look great,
it looks well preserved, that includes the intake its original.
I would figure about 12 to 15 K in catch up maintenance to make this a every things done now its ready to drive every day.
My list,
Intake refresh, with fresh powder coating
all the electrical parts, plugs, wires, caps+ rotors, CrankPS, knock sensors, MAF, O2, temp 2,Hall sensor
Injectors, cam covers PCd, new gaskets, oil block off pins, T stat and seals, coolant cap, new coolant, HCV. coolant bottle, washer tank flush and collar removal.
MMs OPG,Trans mounts, trans flush and filter, rack boots, wheel alignment
shocks, Boges or Bilstiens, new fuel lines,, flex plate check, drive shaft pinch bolt check,
SS brake flex lines, new brake MC, fit a GT muffler, install fresh tires, replace the brake rotors and pads, new door checks. T belt inspection, maybe cam gears, maybe replace the belly pan with the aluminum version, trans cooler line inspection,
Maybe new oil cooler lines
PS lines and new reservoir
If you can do the work listed you will save about the same amount for labor of what you spend for parts
I have done 8 of these S4 cars with similar repair lists and once they are gone through its a very tough act to follow.
Goodluck bidders

I would figure about 6K to 7500.00 in parts ,of course the cams gears could cost 800.00 for a set,
I guess it depends where you shop and how soon the parts are purchased prices go up frequently.
This is a conservative estimate and sometimes prices go past the estimate due to other issues being uncovered

How not to sell a GTS. Seller should have hired a pro photographer or at least took pics during the day. No engine bay or under carriage pics and I had to edit the interior pic below so you can actually see it. But...it is a 5spd GTS in Wimbledon Green with a one off special interior, and no rub strips. Me thinks Wilhoit had this GTS for sale not long ago. Nevertheless it's a beautiful car. T

The rubber support for the muffler broke that day but he seemed to pay up to have everything fixed and running properly.
Considering this car was for sale for $72k from 2005 through 2010 IIRC I guess $120k isn't bad. AFAIK Willhoit sold him the car.

The intake / cam covers look very nice, I wouldn't touch them.
Plug in a shark tuner, verify the knock sensors & hall sensor are working. The rest can be inspected and could very well be good to go.
56k miles, why would you replaced the shocks?
As for the rest, Meh...I'd do a TB / WP job and fuel lines then drive it.
Cam gears? At this mileage probably fine and if starting to show wear, have them coated for $50.
I do practice what a preach. So far that's all the work I've done on my 87 and it has twice the mileage.
We just drove Tim Murphy's 87 to SITM and back, it's been parked for 5-6 years. We aired up the tires, checked the oil and hit the road. I'd have zero concerns about flying out & driving this one home.

I still think this low mileage 86.5 in Bellevue, WA is a steal...I saw it in person at the XXX Root Beer show and it was stunning.

^^^ That is a strange ad. This is the car that I looked at a few months ago for another RL member. It is still for sale at Authentic Motorcars for a considerable larger amount. http://www.authenticmotorcars.com/#/...96d61100ad4c6e
Shannon Low is the GM at Authentic and told me the car has been in their collection since 2013 and was purchased out of California I believe. But those pictures at Park Place are the same car. Odd, maybe that is an old ad and the owner of Authentic bought it for his collection? IDK.
And yes this car is really good looking in person. If any one is interested in the car, PM me. I have a wright-up of my inspection that I can send you.

^^^beautiful car^^^
however, COA shows “special” blue leather interior when it’s actually 2tone, does this matter?
ac doesn’t blow cold
no records whatsoever with supposedly so/tb changed in 2013, guess have to be done right now.
no fuel line replacement records
thanks so much to Nate spending time seeing this car.
