IIRC early cars did not have a jump post cover. It looks like one of Andrews OB's. If it is, both Alex and I have seen both at Droo's old shop. They are both spectacular examples. Car is worth every penny IMHO. GLWS. T

Yes (to both assertions). Saw it at Hershey. Spectacular example and a people's choice 3d place winner in the class at Hershey. See this thread (towards the end) for more casual pictures: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...il-16-a-4.html.

This car is worth it. If you want a finished early example, that is at the highest level, this is it.

It is Andrews (drooman on rennlist) car. Spectacular. AND his '78 is indeed (believe it or not)nicer. Nicest '78 I've ever seen...worth every penny as the paint job alone on the '79 car would be 20k - really top notch job, let alone all the little OEM bits Drew collected. Sorted and just about perfect. No way to duplicate for the $$....Andrew is really great guy who knows his 928's also. Worth a trip to the farm in CT just to see the cars and pick his brain.

Well that took about 20 hours to hit this thread! To those that have seen the car thanks for the kind words...and thanks to Tony for creating the most active thread in this forum!

By the way this car has been on Mobile.de for a month so you're all forgetting to look there! While I don't need two of these, I don't mind holding them for a few years either.

Default 1985 Porsche 928 S 82k miles CA car

Seems like a car worth considering. No affiliation, somewhat local to me ( I'm all over the East Bay for the next three weeks)

Default 1979 on the cheap

Certainly rough. Looks like it has sat, been repainted and has any number of other things wrong with it, but then again, it seems like fairly honest pricing. No write up whatsoever. Having trouble posting a preview shot but I'll keep trying.

Throwback with a couple of old school paper ads I came across while grocery shopping.
