Yup, my car, 1 of 1 Paint to Sample, rare (1 of about 110 made) grey green interior. Plus some really rare options and rare items included. I'm already nervous...hate to sell but I need cash for a commercial building I'm working on purchasing. With my back issues my income is not as stable as prior so trying to get a future income stream secured. Need some good karma to come my way!
http://stgeorge.craigslist.org/cto/5686236982.html 1979 928 for Sale. Completely rebuilt engine, new interior, new rims and tires, transmission converted to Corvette 6-speed, and many more new parts. Check out the Craigslist link for more info. Also, check Haggerty as this one is a #3 condition all day long ($16,400) and NADA $14,500. I'm asking $14,499 OBO. Also it's listed on the PCA website. Thanks

Reason: Forgot to add price.
-Last Val tag 2004, so parked for 12 years.
-Interior in good shape.
Paint peeling on bumper, corrosion on front fender, hood has filler in 2 old hood scoop holes so needs a new hood.
-Brakes, tires all shot
-Tried to hand crank motor but was taking a lot of force so I did not push it.
-Air box full of mouse crap, leaves everywhere.
-Orginally from Alberta
Too much of a mess for me. Pictures look better than it does in person.
Very nice looking '79 auto but why would the odometer be in km when the car is US? Unless the odometer is replaced and not stated. Otherwise a very nice car. Does anyone know this car? http://houston.craigslist.org/cto/5693205034.html

When he says the car is "German" he probably isn't referring to the manufacturer. Perhaps it was originally sold in Germany and brought over here at some point.
But my '84 has a KM speedo/odo and is a US VIN car. So not unprecedented for that to happen. In my case there is no documentation on why it was replaced.
I've known about this car for a while, now the kid that owns it wants to sell, I'm trying to talk him out of selling it, and would buy it myself but I'm trying to buy a commercial building first to house some of my cars so no go right now. He has some of the rare pieces that go with car as well..nice kid, car is a little rough but great car to restore and cool story of the lady that first owned it. If you want your Kermit clone now is your Chance.. Trust me, light green metallic cars don't come by very often...

If car was sold in Canada it would be US side marker and VIN with km speedo....
