+1, and if after it's not resolved, then use social media.

I know this might come as a surprise, but the very first thread in this section is 1/2 off sale on used parts and it has a current list of things that are not in stock. It's been there for a couple of weeks. Guess what's on that list.

Crow sure does have a nasty taste to it. Perhaps now an apology (and deletion of this thread) is due from the OP?

I, like many here, have place multiple orders from 928 Intl. and I must say that the expertise and knowledge they have shown me is exemplary. They always ship in a timely manner and I have always gotten swift communication if they are out of stock on something and a call when they find the parts I am looking for. The support they, as well as the other 928 vendors, give to the 928 community is fantastic and very professional. No need for bashing, IMHO...not when all that is needed is a phone call.

OH THE HUGE MANATEE!

I want Tom fired! Fired I say, so he can join Rahm in the bread lines.

Imagine the effrontery. Not being charged for a part that I didn't get which is at half price sale, from an already discounted price on a rare car, that would be ~$170 retail.

If I was Mark, you would never get a part for your car again. No soup for you!

Fill this out, we'll put it on file:

Good point but they should have the same on their website too.

Done your homework I see. Good. That's always helpful.

Let me get this straight: You libel Mark in public, then want HIM to contact YOU to resolve this. A bit late for that, don't you think??

Murf, I would give you credit for being a little more mature about this than you appear to be. Not bashing? Clearly you are bashing! Resolve this? There is nothing to resolve. Everyone here has clearly told you where you stand and how you are wrong about the whole situation.

What they haven't told you is that even if the subject gas cap had been in stock and they had sent it to you and charged you for it, you would have then likely been able to learn that is is not functioning as it was originally because the locking/unlocking pawl in it would have been broken--they are just about all broken at this point. But, that is what you can expect whenever you buy any used 928 gas cap. Even if you get one with a key and the key turns, it will not secure.

I suggest that you retract your original post and reconsider your boycott of 928 International. They do a great service to all of us in the 928 community.

I can second this, I noticed mine was broke.

I never paid it much thought considering it was very low on a very long list.

Actually, I'm glad it broke considering I don't have the original key to the car!

Correct they are often broken....which also makes them more rare and highly in demand. The things which typically break are what everyone wants. Now if you want the ABS PUMP there are tons of them on the shelf at 928 International......maybe someday they will sell one

I made this purchase over the telephone. You would think they would have a current inventory system that when someone calls in they would check the availability of the part before accepting your credit card payment.
I see that you've got some flak for this post. Personally, I would not have made a public post before contacting the owner. I do not believe that it's 'deceptive' - it's just a lack of precise stock control, which is very common.

However, I do sympathise with you. I would want and expected to be contacted if they didn't have a part that I'd ordered. It does annoy me when I place an order, but only part of it ships. The vendor has no idea which items are the reason for the order, and which are just 'nice to haves', which you wouldn't pay shipping for alone.

Vendors who have done a partial ship, or omitted items from my order:

All of ebay vendors
All of Amazon vendors
Poolpartswerehouse
Rock Auto
Rocky Mtn lumber
Best Buy
Fry's

Prolly some others I forgot. If they don't have it, they don't ship it and they don't bill it. Maybe folks should review the modern concept of JIT. Or, pay Porsche retail for the part.
