I have had 15 928s of all types and transmissions.
The 928 can be "fast" - but fast is a relative term. Data suggests that we can be easily outgunned in a straight line (and in a curved one) by many modern cars, high performance or just "sporty" simply because of the dynamics that modern cars can provide because of more years of engineering.
I am usually underwhelmed by the power of a stock 928. I do many things to the cars to make them more "usable" for me, and I enjoy driving them daily - they are not Sunday cars for me and it still irritates me that others only use them like that and return to their Kia on Monday having "walked on the wild side".
You only get one life. I have been searching for the holy grail of 928 power for a while. To me it has to do with the weight of the inputs and how much the car "waits" before that input has an effect.
To top that off I just drove a 991 GT3 pdk around a track for 45 minutes. The 928 could be that "fast" but I'm not sure we have the chassis to make it react like that car to inputs.
Im gonna see what I can do.

I am fortunate enough to own both a 928 and a 997.2 turbo. Both of these cars I consider "fast", but in different ways. I love the roar from that 32V V8 with no cats or muffler, but I'm no match for anything modern with a V8 - but I will keep it close. The 911 on the other hand, not too many folks try to mess with me because it is just stupid fast. However, I enjoy both of them just for different reasons.
