Not quite; it happened exactly as posted. Evidently Hacker can be quite brain-dead sometimes... Oh well.

In light of the recent bike racing threads and the claims made therein, and reflecting back upon this one, there is NO WAY a stock S4 can keep up with any 1000cc crotch-rocket (..even a 600 cc one would kill it). I have 500+ rwhp, and I had my hands full with the YZF, and finally edged him at the end. How can a stock S4 with 260-ish rwhp not only do the same, but run one down as claimed? A far-fetched story for sure, and to me, not even remotely believable, especially after my experience.

By the way, both bikes 'raced' were 998 cc's (..ie, not 600's) and have equally quick 10.2 quarter mile times, one a Yamaha, the other a Honda.

I was cruising through old threads and ran into this one. With all of the SC chatter going around, this is still the #1 thread for posts on the topic. Take a deep breath before you insult someone next time, ok? Remember, I had the best view of the bunch for this race. Had the story been bogus, I would have called you on it right away back in September.

It's not a bogus story.
There were many witnesses, and I believe it.
Same with those Viper/Hayabusa movies.

Cars *can* hang with bikes, if they are heavilly modified.

But unless you are pumping close to 600+ horsepower,
you will generally lose to a sportbike with a good rider.

If you win with a stock 928, it's because they are a wus, a bad rider, or they are riding a harley.

What I was referring to was making your post ending with 'Happy April 1st'. I read it and thought, oh no, that implies it was all a big joke; after all, you were 'supposedly' there. Sure enough, I read the next post which is Tony's, and he implies the same thing, joking or not.
