I will spare you the details but my save car stranded me last week with an excess of fuel.
New MAF (original fire damaged) and she ran better but would not start easily and the fuel smell was very strong. Changed the temp II and fitted two new fuel pressure regulators and a new front damper. Replaced the small diameter fuel hose to both pressure regulators.
Jumped the fuel pump for maybe 5 minutes while I checked my work for leaks.
Went to start the car and "kerchunk". Acted like it was seized. Car has been sitting for a week without being started. Ran when it was parked.
Pulled the MAF and the air guide was over flowing with fuel. Full to the brim.
Did some searches and plan to mityvac as much fuel out of the cylinders and air guide as I can. Shoot some oil into each cylinder and run the starter to blow out any fuel. Shoot more oil in and make sure she runs. Then do an oil change. Add new plugs.
Any other thoughts or advice -
I suspect a stuck injector or three. New injectors in the works.![thumbsup](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/bigok.gif)
Still $10k away from a $3k car 8>)

Does it have the "Do It Yourself" manual transmission, or the superior "Fully Equipped by Porsche" Automatic Transmission?

Already did thank you Mark - just need to work out the correct injectors as it would appear the S2 ones are different to most. I am not an injector expert but from what I have gleaned these injectors may be hard to replace.
23Lb/hr @ 3.3bar - 14.5 high impedance - 14mm top and bottom O ring
It would be great if we can drop in Design II 24Lb injectors.

MityVac is good, but pulling all of the spark plugs and cranking the motor will really blow out the combustion chamber.

That's exactly what my new adaptor is designed to do.
Allow people to substitute $300 worth of common, new style 4 hole efficient injectors for $2000 dollars worth of injectors for the US L-Jet engine.
Or, like in your case, substitute $300 worth of new design 4 hole efficient injectors for a set of leaking injectors that you can't buy anywhere.
In my initial testing, the newer, far better atomization injectors with the 4 holes work so much better than the original Porsche injectors, that it looks like getting a European engine through California smog might be now possible. The original design injectors were so poor atomizing the fuel at low rpm's those engines never had a chance of passing a California smog inspection.
More testing required, but it looks hopeful!

Thanks Greg - Please send me a set of your adaptors when you can.
I will check with the injector Guru's - Jim and John - to make sure that what I/we are thinking will work.
Don't you love the 928 community.
Greg - what I propose to do tomorrow to alleviate the hydro locking - do you concur?

Also Roger, have you inspected the wiring harness? It could be shorting and cause the injectors to act weird.

You have fuel mixed in the oil now as well.
Pressure test your cooling system to insure you didn't do any damage to the head gasket.
Once running, remove the hoses from the vents going from the cam covers, and let the car run warm for a while. You need to boil the fuel out of the crankcase. Depending on how much fuel is in the oil, it's gonna take a while. It would be best to leave the crankcase vented and go for a drive, but that may not be advisable.

just a thought of past 'sperience with hydrolock on a 16v OHC 4 cyl VW engine. You have to remove the plugs and crank the engine to push out the fluid, (gasoline spraying out of the plug holes may lead to more severe problems). At least two oil changes will be needed to flush the gas through the bearings and block oil passages.
Short story long, the engine ran fine afterwords, but had a slight vibration, come to find out later, the hydrolock episode actually bent one of the connecting rods.

One of my Euro motors had one of the custom S rods in it, but no idea to the cause.
My Euro S 85 barely failed last year with old injectors, gas, and cheap Magnaflow cat. Sent the injectors out for cleaned and passed easy (with a BAR sticker, otherwise clean or not the test won't start from vin).

why don't you bring the injectors over
Ohm the pins to the body
have you inspected the wiring harness? It could be shorting and cause the injectors to act weird

Removed all the plugs. Only one cylinder has gas in it all the rest are dry. The wire to the injector on the wet cylinder had an open area and one wire looks frayed with an exposed strand or two. This could be the cause of the issue. Going to double check with a mag glass as my eyes are not so good 8>).
Going to pull all the key relays and crank the engine over.

Sean came over and he has better eyes than me. Maybe gas in all cylinders. Seems like the injectors were all open. Jumped the fuel pump and all the cylinders seemed to fill up with gas.
Disconnected the LH and they stopped.
When I originally sent the LH for John Speake to rebuild he did say that there could be a short in my injector harness - it looks like that maybe the case.
Sean has a great video of the gas being pumped out of the engine.
Still $11k from a $3k car.
