Hi guys,
I have been stuck for a few days. The fuel pressure device made by Bell Engineering has been problematic. Mine was leaking, and the replacement leaked as well. They are re-examining the current design, and promise to solve the problem. Nevertheless, I am off boost at present.
That does not mean I am not doing anything. I will install a AN-6 union to eliminate the item and drive conservatively. This will allow me to get my new tires and wheels installed.
I should be back on the road, normally aspirated, temporarily, by tomorrow.
It is after all, the journey, not the destination, we seek.

Guess what I get to do in a couple weeks
Install one of these on a customers '84. Should be interesting so when it begins, I'll update here for everyone.

Run a 1/2" NF tap through the mounting holes in the main SC mounting plate. That will clean out any powdercoating, and fix any misalignment of the welded nuts to the plate.

Sean: tell me the customer's name if you can so I can date the installation manual they have. The installation manual for our L-Jet kit has been updated, and I want you to be working from the newest one.

Well I got my wheels mounted. I had to bend the rear fender out a little for clearance. They certainly fill the wheel well. The center caps would not fit in front. I had to beat on the bearing dust cover to let the caps seat. Now they look fine, just like fsharp's pic.

Hi guys,
It's been a couple weeks waiting on my rising rate fuel pressure regulator. Carl buys them from Bell Engineering, of Corky Bell, of Maximum Boost and Supercharged!. They are always trying to improve their fuel management units by making them smaller, more adjustable, more sensitive, etc. The problem was, they changed diaphragm materials and they were not durable to vacuum/boost pressure swings. After some warranty work and further testing they think the problems are solved. So, I am back in business.
The car is running great. If I manually shift my automatic transmission to keep the revs up, the power is incredible. At least to me. I seem to have abnormally high crankcase vacuum and it is creating a howling noise. I have "solved" that by adding a vent to the cam cover and creating a filtered controlled leak into the crankcase.
Overall, it is working very well. I am still playing with timing, AFR, and FMU adjustments.
I will post a video when all is good and my son can help me.
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks, Matt. The power comes on a little later. The 996TT has brute power from 2000 RPM up. The 928SC start to show power at about 2800 RPM. In each case I run out ofnerve before they run out of power.
Thanks again,
Dave
