Default New supercharger for 84 us auto L-jet!

Hi guys,
I don't know if the warm weather in Chicago finally pushed me to act, but after much procrastination, today I ordered Carl's 16-valve supercharger kit for my car. I spent a while talking with Carl and he seems like a knowledgeable and all around nice guy. He answered my questions and put up with me calling back a couple of times with more. He offered to send out a copy of his full installation instructions immediately, so I could study them while awaiting my kit. He says 3-4 weeks, maybe sooner.
I have gone through my car to some extent: new WP, timing belt, fuel lines, etc., and I think my car can handle the stage I kit. I thought I would document the process once I get started.
Have a great day,
Dave

Congrats, Dave! I have the same kit, and I'm just down the street, so let me know if I can help.

I sure am interested to here how it goes and see it in action. I am thinking about this for next yr. Too many other things for this yr. Are you going to keep the stock exhaust manifolds with the SC installed?

For now the exhaust will remain stock. I did motor mounts about 7 years ago, and if I do them again, I will replace OPG and exhaust manifolds. For now I will work mostly from the top.

I'm debating this for either late this year or sometime next year.

Very curious what y'all may have to report!

Thanks for the interest. I am anxiously awaiting the kit. Just gathering a few items, and reading the instructions. Will keep you all posted with pics and text.

In the meantime, if your engine bay could use any cleaning, start there. The whole process will be much more enjoyable.

Hope to see this at some local gatherings this summer. I've yet to see a supercharged 16 valve engine. Been considering it myself.

I WISH I lived somewhere the smog gods would allow something like this....

You are gonna have so much fun

The rule on 928's is this, for this ??? "I want my 928 to perform better"...the best answer is make sure your 928 is running 100%....sounds like yours is solid....so adding boost....is a great smile generator....

Oh yes! I'd love to do a twin turbo install. The price that we pay for sun, snow (not so much this year) and jobs ..
