Ohio 928 owners, i am looking for assistance
ok, this may seem an odd topic, but a serious one none the less. i have been looking at 928's for quite some time now and have been considering purchasing one. however, i would like to look at and drive or at least ride in one and decide if i would like the car enough to buy and or restore one. i am looking for any 928 owners here in ohio that would be willing to show me their car in person. i'm not looking for any joy rides and i am am a serious potential buyer. i find it easier to ask a current owner the proper questions rather than call up a seller and go see their car, as i feel their opinion would be that of a salesman. also, if i am not truely interested in the car, i feel as though i would be wasting the person's time by coming out to look at it.
as far as a backround, i'm not a kid, i am married with 3 kids, i own my house, i am a police officer, and a car enthusiast. i own an 85 944, a 94 Corvette, 2 RX-7's, a 63 Ford Falcon, a 2011 Toyota Sienna, and a 1992 Toyota Camry SE. i am willing to be pre screened (lol, i wouldn't have onyone over my place until i talked to them and made sure they weren't a jackwagon )and welcome talking to other Porsche owners.

Mazdaverx7, Sounds like your up around Medina or so... Were a eclectic group and all kinda nuts about this car, but you'll get both sides of the equation - the good and the not so good (at times). Matter of fact you can join our group as its open to anyone with an interest in 928s. Go to www.928BuckeyeLandsharks.com and the contact email address is on there. You can come to the meeting and/or glean info from us via email. I drive my 86.5 all the time (none of this putting to bed in the winter crap) and would be happy to give ya a ride if the weather is decent - no problem. Just show me your badge and I'll show ya mine... No further proof required
If you want to join up... Tell Pete that Joel, Jake & Rick sent ya! Welcome to the tank!

^^^ sounds like a deal! i carry a badge in my wallet so that won't be an issue! would love to go for a ride in your 86.5! would be great to get some first hand experience with a 928! there simply aren't any near where i live. Medina is about 45 minutes east of here. my wife grew up in Medina oddly enough, lol.

Cool... If the weather is decent I'll be driving it to the meet. If the weather is crappy then I'll be in a different vehicle. You just cant depend upon the weather in Ohio Regardless, send me a PM when you think you may be in the Columbus area. I travel a bit as I work in Marion, Lima, Kenton, Dayton, Cincinnati, Washington Court House, Chillicothe, Columbus, Cambridge, Portsmouth & Marietta and all points in between. In the meantime join the buckeye landsharks.

the weather here is ever changing. i can't say that i love the winter to be honest. i hope to make it. i will have to recheck the dates and check my training schedule for work. if i can't make the upcoming meet, i will try and get out for the next one.
