As I was thinking up a very witty reply to Jake's left-handed compliment I looked at his avatar and completely forgot what I was going to write... Damn! T Rex gets me every time!!! Anyway, Geneva On The Lake... Wow, we used to camp out there back in my Coast Guard days in the 80's... Going there was like walking through a time warp into the 50's... probably hasnt changed much either

p.s. Slow car my ***... Joel

That is a great idea. I did the same thing except I drove over to Roger Tyson's house not knowing why he had so many 928's outside. I found out all about the 928 and our local mechanical expert Sean in that conversation. Of course he talked me into buying the one I ended up with. A year later I still love it! The only regret is not buying a GTS back in 2001 when I was flush with cash from some stock options. The road to a 928 was a winding one for me. Of course if I had done that my ex-wife might have tried to get the car in the divorce.

I suggest you try to make the trip to Hershey Swap Meet on the 20th. Some of us are staying over Friday: https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...20-2013-a.html

Depending on the weather, there will be a fair representation of Sharks, usu a couple FS, inside and outside of the corral (the FS specific area). It's a bit of a drive for you, but well worth it. Good chance to compare as there should be 20 or so Sharks.

i would love to make it out that way but i cannot take off a work weekend. i used most of my vacation time for the month of Feb and March when my wife had our 4th child. so, i'm kind of limited to when i can take off.

Does Family Leave count against regular vacation time?

There's also the Motor City Madness @ Munk's:

^^^That's a beautiful 944!!!

I'm still interested in doing this, as a 928 has been something that I've wanted for a long time! I just want to drive a good example before I go out looking for one of my own. Would be nice to meet some fellow Porsche owners as well. Not many around where I live. Time to sell one of my Corvettes and start looking for a 928!!
