Leaving Porsche behind... 928 for sale
Hey guys I have not been around much due to family issues but I thought I would throw it out there if anyone is interested in my 1988 s4 auto. I have way too many cars and I am leaving Porsche. I am also selling my 84 carrera if anyone wants one. Here is a link.

The car is not perfect but it would make a nice driver with a little tlc. Here is a small video of the car yesterday. I cleaned it up a ton today and buffed the wheels and put a new battery in.

That's the elkhart car from Fort Wayne that sat for a few years. Good save. Nice potential profit, too.
Car interior looked good, didn't seem to have any moisture in it despite being parked outside.
You beat me back to that car by minutes, btw.
Good price, assuming good endplay.

It's only in the U.S. due to their economy and the currency exchange, our used car market is still on the expensive side here in Canada so it make me sick seeing all these good cars sell for cheap!

That's exactly what happened here, in the town with just about the highest unemployment rate in the nation. The home of 80% of the RV trailer and motorhome industry.
Throw-in a split family, an unemployed kid with lots of piercings selling a car he'd never even seen before, nor heard run, on behalf of his soon to be father inlaw (who gifted it to the kid just to give him some hope), with a teenaged soon to be wife expecting at any moment, after quitting college due to pregnancy, cold wet thanksgiving, headed for Christmas...bought for the price of the seats.

Like I mentioned before thanks for posting up some more background information on the PO that I purchased it from. The "son" of the owner was selling the car as it was gifted to him by his Father. The Kid was a bit rough around the edges and said that he knew nothing about the car and that he was scared of the repair bills for a Porsche. The story posted earlier makes more sense now as the "Father" seemed constantly displeased with the Kid and was real hesitant about signing the title over for the purchase price. The Father told me that he gave it to his "son" because he needed money. The Father owned another beautiful black low mileage manual S4. He told me that he bought this white one first and drove it for a couple years and then ran across the Black S4 at the country club and it was a steal. He said that the Black car is his dream car and that he no longer has time to drive it and both cars are just sitting and he had no garage space available for the white one. I even tried to buy the black one at the same time since I had extra room on my trailer. Thanks for the background story because there was a strange tension at this house.

That is a killer price and another reason I won't sell my 88. Too much time and money spent on it over the years for what they are getting.
Looks like a great deal for someone wanting to get into a 928 and isn't afraid to do their own work.
Good luck with the sale.
