Console delete kit?

Console delete kit?
I'm looking for a console delete kit for my 996. Have these been discontinued or backordered or something? They're seemingly unobtainable, or over $1000. There's one on eBay under $300 that looks nice, branded MaxLabs. Are there any other options before I pull the trigger on this one?

What's wild is that I heard that these used to be like $200-300 new from the dealerships a few years back. No idea what happened.

I'm reading that as well. I'd happily pay $300 but I can't stomach $1000+ for it, especially if this is only like a short-term supply shortage price gouge. Doesn't look like the price is going to come back down so maybe I'll give the aftermarket one a shot.

Then yeah, my guess would be that Suncoast bought up the last of Porsche's dead stock for cheap and are probably making 10x their cost on them.
The $500 carbon one (by Rennline?) is cheaper, but I don't want carbon fiber. I don't have any carbon in the interior so it would stick out like a sore thumb. It would be cool if they made a carpeted one for like $300 or a leather-bound one for maybe $500. I'd pay $500 for a leather bound one with the proper double-stitched seams to match the leather dashboard.

The price increase/unavailability is crazy to me.
March 2019 I bought my Natural Brown one from Rose Passion in France for just under $200 with shipping to the US. At the time there were zero in the US and even RP had about a two month wait to get it from their supplier.
I'm really glad to see the 3d printed ones are becoming more and more available.

Yup. The next steps will be to steal photos of some pricy item currently on the forum (deep back in the classifieds), then post a new ad with those pics selling some $8,000 wheels for $4,000. When you contact them via the site, the first thing they try to do is get you to communicate off of this site and on to email, whats app, text, whatever. That way they don't get flagged as a scammer here. Rinse. Repeat.
Another thing they'll do is watch for, "Hey, OP. Is this still available?" replies on a classified ad then say, "I'm not OP, but I have one! PM me...".
I've even seen them copy a seller's user name and use slightly different character. "maverick3O2" instead of "maverick302", and act like the seller.
I've seen all of the above in the past few months here.
