Default New Lap record for Casper!!!!! Race report!!

My new racer "Casper" set a new lap record today...my previous best was 2:06.1 over the top at Thunderhill..... Many thanks to Doc Brown for rebuilding my transmission and LSD to actually work.....plus new shocks from PSI at Sears.....

The result 2:03.450...... Almost 3 seconds per lap faster!!!

Its amazing being able to put down power mid corner vs "pedalling" improves your laps times.....I ended up with the 2nd fastest car in "open" overall....only the Corvette Z06-7 was about 2 seconds faster on Hoosiers....with a skilled driver....

Ricky Petty also set a personal best in his "dads" racer....Congrats to him on a Job well done!!!!

Honestly they are.......I was "warned" that the shift effort was quite high, but it wasn't that bad.....I'm just happy it actually works!!!!

Pedaling is a term when you can't go full throttle due to wheelspin....but in my case it was from a worn LSD that would spin the inside tire, so I had to reduce throttle mid corner to keep it from spinning....hence "pedaling"

the weight penalty sure hurts them big time......The orange Z07 was VERY fast and well driven.....it was on Hoosiers and turned a near 2:01 flat....full weight street car too.... The blue C6 might have been a ZR1 (there was 3-4) but the darker one sure was a ZR1....

The good part of running with NCRC is they are very strict about letting cars that "Catch" you by....they will not tolerate cars slower in corners using HP to not let a faster car by....... All of the corvettes I encountered were courteous drivers!!

In the race I was chasing a GT1 class C5 Z06 full race.....built LS2 engine with over 400whp, but 3300lbs racing weight.....I could catch him in the corners and on the brakes, but his HP was just too much.....catch up 1-5....getted pulled until 8...catch up huge 8-9 & 10-11 only to get pulled down the back straight.....more of the same on front straight.... Nice guy I talked to after the race.....If I had maybe 300whp I could give him a run!!
