I have not read the whole thread so this has probably been suggested. Can we, as a community, help the family financially. Is there something ongoing?
If so, this should be a sticky.

I just returned home from a long day of business travel. Waiting in my email box was a message from Andre's wife, Val. I had met Andre in person a couple of times but only knew Val through my support of her brain cancer fundraising efforts. The three of us exchanged emails with great empathy and conviction for her efforts to run her first half marathon (she had never run any distance longer than 100 yards previously). Andre was most appreciative of the encouragement and we exchanged long pm's.
In the mind of those who are at their last thought
I wish but they knew how much we'd have fought
Their value so great as we would help them through
As their life's worth was so much greater than they knew
If one can contribute, as some already have, this family is in significant need.
Rest in peace Andre. May peace rest in your family.

I am just in shock. How does happen to such a nice person? I feel awful for his family. Please everyone who hasn't yet, please consider giving just something to his family.

In on the donation thing also. I wish there was more that could be done. I've seen this sort of thing much too often. I guess people have moods and sometimes even personalities they just don't normally show the world. Sometimes it seems so impossible that you want to suspect some sort of conspiracy or mob hit or something that was just setup to look like they took their own life.

OMG this is just tragic. Donation sent, I just wish I lived closer and could do more for the family. Always enjoyed his posts, RIP Andre.
My prayers are with his family.

This is such sad news and at the same time shocking. I did not know Andre but enjoyed his posts - a terrible loss for the 928 community.
Be at peace, Andre. Our prayers are with your family.

I will always remember Andre as the happy go lucky guy with several kids hanging on him at Sharktoberfest. He will be missed by many

In on the donation. Condolences to his family and friends.
Even though I did not know him, like many here I too enjoyed reading his posts. He lives on in the memories he created with many, directly or indirectly.
