Andre Hedrick
There are reports of his death.
The memorial service is scheduled for Friday, July 27, 4:00 pm, at the First Presbyterian Church of Berkeley. 2407 Dana Street, Berkeley, CA 94704. For directions and parking information, please visit the church website. When I asked about flowers she gave me Making Arrangements - Kay Wolff as the contact saying that she was very familiar with the sanctuary at the church. If I am in error and this is a cruel joke I apologize. |
What reports? I did not see anything on the church website.
Please help to direct me in finding more information. |
Hopefully this is a different Andre:

Bummer.
I don't have permissions to access the Ruetterwerk page. |
our andre is a linux dev, note his email address in his car links. Hope this is not the case :(
|
Let it not be so - Please!!!
|
WHAT?!?!?!!?
|
Oh no... :(
|
Nicest Guy in the world... Please God tell me it's not him. :(
|
OMG. Say it isn't so... What happened?
|
According to Reuterwerks Andre took his own life - this is tragic
|
[EDIT: I went back and activated membership in the Reuterwerks Off Topic Forum - so I can see the thread now. Awful.] This is terrible, shocking news if true. He's a young, healthy guy with a young family, very active in our local 928 community and a personal friend. We have been in each other's garages working on 928 projects many times. He always brings his whole family to Sharks in The Park. I'm totally sick about this. |
I find the Ruetterwerk post hard to accept.
I have had countless phone calls with Andre that would go on for hours due to his enthusiasm for life, 928's and helping people. My most recent dilemma with my intermediate plate just proved this as he was wanting to give me a extra imp that he had and if it worked all he wanted was $100.00 which was less than what he paid for it. His words exactly are "pay it forward" The most recent time that I was over at his house he was on a conference call about a project that he was working on looking to get a patten for. He was also working on doing a upgrade trans. mount for 928's. Hard for me to see all of this with Andre and accept the Rutterwerks report. |
I'm hesitant to pass this along without some independent confirmation, but...
