I've PM'd with him a few times, nice guy. What a tragic loss this is. We all have our demons, I just hope mine never gets me. Always enjoyed reading his posts.RIP.

This is overwhelmingly sad news. I've never met, or communicated with Andre, but like so many always enjoyed HIS postings here on Rennlist.
I agree with the previous posting, but will modify it slightly: "We all have our demons, I just hope they never get me or my loved ones". Dan's poem is wonderful as well at this time of sadness.
I, like so many others who have - and hope everyone who reads this - will make a contribution to assist Andre's family with their future financial challenges.
For any of the rest of us who are struggling with demons - PLEASE seek help - psychologically and spiritually. Our condolences to his family and personal friends, and may Andre rest in peace.

What a terrible loss, condolences to his family.
I feel lucky to have met Andre at Sharktoberfest. What a funny and intelligent guy.
He struck me as an intellect, kind of in the da Vinci realm. I admired his refusal to accept the status quo as a given. He would have an idea that at first seemed out there, but as he talked through it, you would realize that this wasn’t a pie in the sky day dreamer , but that he had carefully thought out all of the potential issues and how to solve them. Definitely one of those rare individuals that thinks in “3-D”.
Rest in Peace Andre, you’ll be missed.

I was fortunate enough to experience it often, but I don't think I could have described Andre's fertile mind as well as you did.

I NEED SOME HELP...
I just got a voicemail from Andre's wife. She's asking that someone from our Norcal928 group say something about Andre at the memorial next Friday. As she said, he was most happy when things involved his passion for the 928 and our club and she'd like that represented at the memorial. I'm finding it hard to gather my thoughts about Andre, although I will work on that. I'm not at all familiar with his posts on OT (I almost never venture in there), which many of you seem to treasure. I will search through those to get the flavor of that, BUT I could use whatever comments you have about how Andre and his interactions, in OT or otherwise, affected you and how you saw him, like Adam so well encapsulated. This is going to be hard for me. I have seen many personal comments already from those who interacted with him, but I could use additional insights and vignettes, posted here or by PM. Thank you.
