So,

I have been bored at work today and reading up on compound boost......

It would be extremly easy to feed the boost pressure from my rear mount turbo to the inlet side of this supercharger.........

Edit: That would make me a great dignitary for the turbo vs supercharger crew......just get both!!!

From the net:

"The real world benefit of a compound boost setup is average power and driveability. With the compound setup, you can still have the instant boost and low-end grunt of a supercharger, but the addition of the turbochargers will allow for a much more efficient and powerful top-end. This is referred to as "power under the curve." The average amount of power that we are able to produce with the compound systems will provide better driveability while still producing hair-raising amounts of power."

I have a feeling my 60mm turbo would be on the small side for this to work properly. But throw a T-76 on the back and a Rotrex on the front and hang on.......

Sounds fun but thats alot of tubing to run. I am personally interested in seeing if BMW will bring their patented electricly assisted turbo to life. electric pre-spool of the turbo for less lag and on release of power, doubles as a turbine based alternator.

Although bringing the ecu control needed over to a 928 would be another challenge, a gpio should be able to control it i think.

I snapped the TT on my wife's '90 going around a corner at 1/4 throttle. That would be the last of my worries.

Sean:

Ya..thats about the only thing keeping me from a full cuddly press on the wife to approve this...and that would be me staring at a busted TT right after.

Jeff
I believe what Sean is saying, is that when it's a TT time, it's just a TT's time. Like his wifes car, and this poor chaps car ... https://rennlist.com/forums/928-foru...n-failure.html ... sometimes they just decide to go for no reason. Granted an extra 150HP may enhance the speed of the crash a little.... LOL

I'd not worry about the torque tube.

Be like me, out enjoying the extra boost, enough so that I'm shooting oil out of my dipstick hole

My new catch can, should be fully ready for production in the next few months. Need to figure out how to keep duct tape from melting on my glass jar when I lean it on the radiator.

Did that, doesn't work.

I think I've got a MAF Boot Y in the wrong direction. Boost is going in and not being sucked out. I wont know for sure until I can get a chance to work on mine again and I'm not doing it out on the driveway. It's 104 today.

If you're pushing out the dipstick then you have too much crankcase pressure.
Meaning you need to rework your crankcase ventilation or you will have a bigger problem very soon!

Sean.... Sounds like the "Bernoulli's" line of thinking that someone talked you into is not working. On Monday I will send out the vent T's and plugs you passed on. Thanks for being a Ginny Pig though... LOL.
