Default Ebay SC kit

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Porsche-928-...eba194&vxp=mtr

What about this kit, the good, bad, ugly, etc? I know the price is getting closer to what I can pay for a kit. I am looking for a good used reasonably priced kit that was made by one our rennlist guys so looking at this kit is just out of curiousity.

I believe he is a rennlister, he posted about his kit last year in a super charger thread. May want to search about the Rotrex quality, I know there is a kit out there for Miatas.

Looks good and complete, but I think this is a new kit, not used. 480WHP is a little optimistic from a 6psi non intercooled kit.

Thanks for the link. I would love a twin screw but the price is out of my range. This is getting closer to what I can afford but I will still be looking in the used market and hoping to get luckyon a used Murph kit. I know one sold here last year for about $2800. I am dreaming of that coming along again at some point.

For a $1000 more you can get this kit. Considering the price difference little, I would take that over a used one.

There have been some used Murf kits sold. At least some of them have ended up being incomplete kits, or had damaged parts, so you have to keep in mind the final cost to get any kit installed and operating correctly.

Have you contacted Tim about the availability of a used kit from him? He's had various combinations of used and new components to put together complete kits for a reduced price in the past.

It's Victor... Hey are you going to OCIC? If you are, I may be able to help you out. I was thinking about supercharging someones car while at the meeting / show. That way people can watch the install, and see how easy it is. Let me know if your interested, it will only take a couple hours.

It is great to find out Victor is a Rennlist guy. We have some great suppliers on this forum and I like to stick with them. I am very excited to get some modest boost and Victor has agreed to do the installl at the show. Can't wait.

Looks like we are good to go Rob. I will do your install on Saturday, probably late morning, actually it sounds like there will be 2 installs that weekend. I asked Roger if there is going to be a dyno, he said there will not be one at the show, but there is one in Wichita. Doubt I will have time to get before and after runs with everything that is going on. I am not sure how far away the dyno is, but you may be able to squeak them in, thats up to you. Like I said it should only take a couple of hours, but I'm sure we will be getting bombed with questions during the install, so who knows.

Looking forward to the show and meeting everyone... ttys
