Victor, I see that you mention in the advert that you include a custom fuel chip. What about spark timing? Do you leave this stock or are you using the low octane jumper in this application?

Also, I noticed this in the ad. "You will not have to remove or change any major components like the crank pulley, radiator, fans, A/C or air pumps." How do you get away with not removing the crank pulley?

I am selling the basic stage 1 kit for $3995, but thinking about a special for people that buy one at the OCIC show. There are aptions of course, like the Kuhn twin snout intakes for $500. if I can get up to 10 orders at once, I'll get a deal on the superchargers, then everyone saves few hundred.

The 80mm pulley runs around 6psi @ 6000rpm. I have seen over 12psi with smaller pulleys, but do not like to go over 9.

Everything on the car works very will with stage 1. MAF, Timing, fuel pump, clutch, drive train, etc... and it is a simple setup. Once you go past that everything changes. You need to intercool, tune timing, watch for fuel pressure drops, open up the exhaust, worry about the clutch and trans, and on and on. IMO the best setup is stage 1.5. That is 8psi intercooled.

The supercharger is driven off of the cranks alternator belt pulley with the alternator The only thing you have to move is the front damper, which is moved to the back of the engine. Also you will have to relocate or remove the flappy solenoid. Also you change out the 19lb injectors out for 36lbs.

Doubt I will have time to get before and after runs with everything that is going on. I am not sure how far away the dyno is, but you may be able to squeak them in, thats up to you. Like I said it should only take a couple of hours, but I'm sure we will be getting bombed with questions during the install, so who knows.

Looking forward to the show and meeting everyone... ttys
I won't need a dyno, my car is for my enjoyment only and I am sure it is going to be a very nice gain. Looking forward to meeting you.

Interesting. So you run the super charger and the alternator of off the same 1/2" V-belt pulley? I would have thought it would slip. Didn't FAST run them that way originally and then change to a wider belt? Are the Murf belts a toothed belt or are they smooth?

If it works as advertised this is a very good alternative for people at that price point.

from 85 on, the alternator is driven by a 5 rib serpentine belt. OOPS... make that a 6 rib belt, thanks Cosmo

They both use a different brand of SC too.

The Murf928 kits use an 8 rib belt with a spring loaded tensioning system that runs only the supercharger.

Many supercharger kits for other cars incorporate the serpentine belt to drive the head unit. I have a FAST kit that I redesigned to run a dedicated 6 rib belt. FAST used the power steering pulley as the tensioner and it didn't work very well. Victor's design is completely different.

I also incorporate an idler on a spring loaded cam tensioner into the mounting bracket to give a good wrap and keep the belt from slipping.

I am simply amazed at the forced induction options available for our cars now. I would have never thought a car with such a limited audience would have so many different ways to go forced induction.

After months of tuning my car at 5psi, then 7psi, and now as high as 10 PSI on occasion, one thing became very clear. The stock timing must be reduced, even at 5 PSI, and more fuel has to be added. I know turbo's build boost differently, mainly forcing me to back more timing out in the mid-range. But at the top end, 6 PSI is 6 PSI no matter what is blowing into the motor, and that extra air, and increased dynamic compression, necessitates backing the timing off some, and giving it more fuel.

This sounds like a great kit and a smokin deal even without the OCIC discount!! I would just urge anyone that installs this to be careful if no tuning/modified chips are provided with even the base Stage 1 kit.

It is awsome to have so many great vendors that keep the 928 so modern for its age. Victor will also be sharktuning the car at the installl.
