1989 928 SE for sale - 339 miles!
This car has been discussed multiple times here. It's not mine, but I've seen it in person before and it really is a spectacle to behold.
I am not affiliated with this sale.

Odometer FRAUD!!!!1!!11 Someone read the trip odometer....
Good looking idle when fully up to temp.
Bummer that someone put that 'Prestige' sticker on the rear, hopefully it won't leave a mark coming off.
I see it has been driven another 27 miles since the last discussion:

Yeah, I knew that the mileage they listed it with was inaccurate, as the last time I saw it, it had 338 miles....unless they drove it home backwards.

Ray Munsch worked on the car so it has been well looked after.
Very nice and the only LHD SE as far as I know.

I'm confused now. It has a U.S. VIN, why would it be an SE and not a U.S. Spec GT?
It's spec'ed out like a typical U.S. '89 GT, with dual A/C and a sunroof.

It may very well be a GT. I just went by Ray's opinion that it was an SE.

I call this automotive taxidermy. Send it to the Smithsonian, I guess.
Looks to be idling at a lower than '89GT spec of 775rpm. Perhaps that's just one of the many concerns with a 928 that HAS NEVER BEEN DRIVEN!
Just think how many owners could have enjoyed the true purpose of that machine in the last 23 years. Instead, someone has been hiding in a cave gloating over "mine precious".
Someone please buy this and burn the (likely original) rubber off of those wheels.

I love the idea that its basically new (except for seals, all rubber, fluids) but the color. Ugh.

And wheel bearing grease. Engine bearings may have varnish in them from sitting. Coolant? How long did that sit in there?

With only 339 miles on the car and the fuel gauge at 1/4 tank, could this car still have it's original fuel load from 1989?
I would have to assume that the fuel has been drained and refilled many times in 23 years, so why does it only have 1/4 tank of fuel? Wouldn't you want to keep the tank full if it's just going to sit?
