Welcome to the tank!
I've got a million things to talk to you about! There is a really good sunroof thread on here somewhere...(i'll look for it for you) Don't disable it! fix it! The sunroof can be opened manually with a tool on the drive link (under the cover behind the sunroof...

Try manage attachments in advance reply. Some here want pics of everything. I guess they love to see what you are talking about. Congrats on your purchase. The advice on a 928 specialist is very good advice. For instance a $1000 repair can turn into a $3000 repair very quickly if they are learning the car on your car.

+1 on the Thrust Bearing Failure check (flexplate check)
Then apply a flexplate clamp of some kind. There are inexpensive routes that you can take, including loc-tite.. But if you ever pull your torque tube, I recommend a Black Sea R&D Constantuine clamp as a permanent solution.
Even though the fuel lines look ok, it is a very wise choice to replace the fuel lines if you don't have documented proof that it has been done recently.
Timing belt and tensioner will need to be checked out well also. I recommend the Porkensn'r....
Looks like a real beauty! Welcome to the insanity...

This is the garage we used for 944's, and who we will mostly be using for the landshark
http://www.addspeed.co.uk/
we also have these guys http://www.parr-uk.co.uk/ right near us and we went and introduced ourselves and had a chat the other day.
This is the garage who replaced the atf pipes and who gave the car a check-over before we bought it http://www.brooklandskent.co.uk/
so we have the garage who knows the car bit sorted. We did on occasion use a general mobile mechanic on the 944, but have already decided against that on the 928.
I'm certain that the car had it's thrust bearing and cam shaft checked pre-purchase, the guy we bought it from was keeping it at brooklands, he bought it, then saw a Bentley he liked more.. he had it checked over and money was no problem for this guy!
Are these things which can be quickly and easily checked? until i find out for 100% sure they were checked, i will ask addspeed to check them on monday when the immobilizer is being fitted.

Cam bets and tensioners were all checked, all in fine condition, but we don't have a date as to when they were last done, so they will be done within the next 6 months, just for peace of mind. Spoke to head honcho at brooklands- he checked them himself and he's not at all concerned about them, but i just like to know WHEN it's done.

That's the only shot i can find of the interior, dark blue with read piping, in pretty good nick too.
Better than any of the 944's we've had. All the seat electrics work, we don't know what all the buttons do yet...
