eARLY OR LATE SEALS - they are different arent they?
I did mine several years ago, and had no real issues doing it, once they are lubricated.

I'm thinking some kind of water soluble lubricant, slippery to install, but not slipping out.
I have used trial size vials of P-80 for installing rubber hoses, works great for working them onto pipes and hose barbs, etc. I bet it would work great for this application.
Here's a whole ton of it for cheap on Ebay:

Looks like they sell 10 ml vials in 100 packs, Roger, you could sell vials of it to go along with these seals, or along with the fuel line kits (only to the registered fuel line professionals, of course ) or just as a specialty 'goop' for DIYers.
Manufacturer website: (perhaps there's a different formulation that would be better for window seals? )

So awesome you found these for us at such an affordable price.

Stuff not to use, WD40 makes things slippery a short time, but when it all evaporates except for some residue to smear the glass, it acts like glue on the rubber so its likely to tear if moved later.
Windex is a little soap and ammonia, and I think the soap is the only good part.
Astroglide sounds good, all I know is the Foxworthy joke about being able to park a Cadillac in a dog house.

Give a set to Dwayne! Over the years, I don't think anyone has fully described (with pictures) how to install these. It's always been abstract comments like "with your arm pointing towards the front of the car and the rubber angled towards the steering column, rotate your body and turn the rubber and gently guide it in with lubricant..." as if entwined in karma sutra. Some clear text and pictures would be great!
