Lower Outer Window Seals - Installation Testing

What seals are we talking about? The large outer seal that goes around the window frame and that has the felt lining to catch the window? I just did that job - a bit tricky but not too bad with plastic body panel tools and some dishsoap. Or is Roger getting the lower seal that sits on the outer side of the door and acts like a squeegy when the window goes up and down? I don't think that seal is that that involved to replace.

I am just the facilitator here and take no credit - all the credit goes to our friend in Europe for arranging this.
The seals will be here within a couple of weeks after the wire tranfer clears to the bank in Europe.
Three testers have been chosen and will receive an email shortly. Choice was made on the time the email was received. First email was 8.14pm, second 8.14pm and third 8.15pm. You guys are fast on the draw.
I have orders for the first 15 sets plus 4 sets for testing (one for me). 16 sets left so drop me an email if you want a set. roger@928srus.com.
Karsten - as you will be ahead of us here in the States your comments will be most welcome.
As far as I know the same seal is used from 78 to 95.
Part numbers are 928 537 321 03 & 928 537 322 03 but happy to be corrected.

Yes, that is the seal and it's a PITA to replace. You must remove the lower window trim, wrestle the seal into the trim channel and the reinstal the trim and seal together without damaging the trim, the seal or the paint. I nicked my new paint job when installing mine the first time.

Roger I'm in for a set too. Looks Like I'm finally getting a respray this spring so its a "must have". As for installation lubricants I think if you provided something it makes it a slam dunk. Its amazing how certain things made out of "rubber" can cause so much grief and aggravation when your trying to get something big in a small space.:>)
