Good to hear but for those of you who can do just a little work we have them for $149. We also supply Roger with them as well.

Mark
do you have pictures or a diagram as to how the different parts go together so I can tell where to press to pull the release bearing apart? I ordered a replacement bearing from Roger but I am not sure which pieces need to come apart. It looks to me like there are 4 seperate pieces that make up the release bearing (includung the bearing itself). Is this right?

I do not any here to take pictures of at the moment as all my cores are out but when I get one in I will post some pictures. It presses apart very easily.

Jim,
You just sit the bearing with the center tube pointing upwards and press it out of the housing. Press the new bearing and center tube in and replace the cover - really easy.

Karsten,
No release bearings here in the US at all. Porsche does not have any either - here or in Germany.

Just talked with Roger and got it figured out. There are actually 4 pices including the bearing but the very center tube portion with the snap ring groove comes with this replacement bearing, so the only parts that need dissasembly are the release bearing cover and the bearing assembly. Very easy solution to a no longer available part. Thanks to all the vendors for coming up with solutions to problems like these.
