The Panamera is the only current VW / Porsche / Audi using that chassis, I'm not sure it was a 100% Porsche clean sheet design.

I need to do some digging on that. A while ago during the development of the Panamera there was talk about some loose testing with a platform based on other testing for Bentley and the Bugatti sedan.

No interweb connection at home last night... will get pics posted up tonight (hopefully).

Ed, those are some spectacular shots. I'm sure mine will not even come close.

Okay, I suppose I get the well-deserved sleepy head award. Sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye to everyone. All I can say is it was totally worth it. The great people, cool cars, and fun activities make for some awesome memories!

For fear of missing anybody, I want to thank everyone that coordinated, planned, presented, and attended the OCIC 2012. A lot of effort went into making this event such a success and everyone deserves recognition for a job well done!

Cheers till me meet again!

Default OCIC Photos

A couple of you have asked about downloading photos from the links in post #500.

Just go directly to the links below, click on a link, wait for the web page to load, then select (highlight) the photos you wish to download and go to the "actions" box at the top and select "download to Picasa" If you have Picasa installed on your machine the selected photos will be downloaded directly to your computer.

A few people have sent PM's asking for copies of the high resolution originals, which I will send to you via email due to the file size of the images. That may take a little while to complete.

Here are the links again. For best viewing select "slide show" mode, then press "F11" for a full screen view.

Hey Kurt, judging from the several snap shots I saw of you barefoot, you were probably looking for your sandals and that's why you were the last to leave. Hope to see you at SHARKS IN HELL.

Default Home Sweet Home

We pulled into the driveway at 3:30pm this aft after quite the trip.

Grand total was almost 6000 kms and 7 different states (9 if you count WY and MT twics on the return trip).

3 part trip essentially:

down to Denver then carvan to Wichita

hang with the gang at OCIC

trip home visiting Rushmore, Deadwood, Sturgis and Devils Tower

The car was perfect except needing the clutch bled a few times.........it used NO oil !!!

many many thx to everyone

I know I'm slackin'

Finally got interweb acess restored last night and photos uploaded. Here are some of my favs.

Admiring the BG Product line-up

After the tour...

Hans' finger... OUCH!

"DANGER! HIGH VOLTAGE!"

Jim and Sue Corenman!

This was not me... The violator got away with a warning! Lucky bastard!

Go to HELL!

Mmmmm... I smell Porsche!

Supercharger!

For those not lucky enough to have met Mo... I want to say Mo is THE best ambassador Wichita could ever ask for. Mo showed us the sites and took good care of us! I learned a lot from this man. Life is GOOD, Under the HOOD! Yay Mo!

New window seals! BTW, thanks to Roger and Mike V for hooking me up.. This was something I had always wanted to do. The car has much less wind noise with the new seals.

Met this guy at the car show. He was really cool!

Met this guy too... Name is Chester, I think...

more later....

IIRC Andrews car was 'volunteered' to showcase how to do the project at last weeks OCIC and nothing was removed except the old part.

Mr Vance was the project leader.
