Good to hear the commentary; of course I had no idea what was going on down there.

Finally back home after another 12 hour stint behind the wheel. Like Adam said..got to Ogden the first day and then back home today.

Had a great time seeing all the regulars..and all the new folks. Thanks to all the sponsors and all those doing the tech sessions. It all goes by so fast that I'm already looking forward to the next 928 event.

The GT ran great the whole trip, used about 2 quarts of oil in 3700ish miles, no overheating even while running the A/C in 100 plus degree heat, A/C continued to blow ice cubes (freezing the evaporator so I had to turn off for a few minutes every once in a while). Averaged about 20ish mpg over the whole trip (don't want to calculate the fuel costs though ).

I didn't take many pics (some have already been posted)...so I'll check out what others have posted up...

Default My 2012 OCIC photos, part 5

(I hope I'm not overdoing the photos here, but there were just so many photos that I thought really captured the event for those who couldn't be there, and with luck, those of you who were there will find you and/or your car among these or in the album I link to below.)

Some more favorites (mostly people in this batch; sorry I didn't get photos of more people getting award; most people did a good job of keeping their backs to the camera!):

(Remember, you can view the whole album at 2012 Porsche 928 OCIC.)

I wasn't going to provide any of my own commentary, but... Gary Knox must be doing his Don Rickles impression here.

Apparently so many photos on a page at the "1200 pixels on the long edge" size is causing some problems for some people. Sorry about that.

I just need to decide whether or not to change them to 800; IMHO, many of these photos are a lot nicer big, but... I don't want to be killing people's browsers.

Got home about 7pm tonight. I had taken my S4 to Tom's house before we jumped in his GT to head to Wichita, so I got to start and end the trip in my S4. What a great ride home. Stayed off the interstate which was a parking lot with rush hour traffic, and spent the hour drive home taking backroads. Really enjoyed being able to drive my S4 after seeing all of the great 928's at the OCIC. Several people mentioned that the calibur of cars this year was really high this time around. Many cars had performance mods, redone interiors, very clean exteriors, just all really nice cars all the way around (as can be seen by the pics). I look forward to having my car "presentable" for the next one, and bring it all the way down (instead of just to Olympia, WA ).

I have one question. I noticed a red GTS with PanAmi wheels and the thing I am interested in are the non-stock air intake tubes on the engine. I need a new pair for my '95 (one was crushed by the deer crushing the hood and I thought they were going to replace it but they didn't...I guess $27k worth of work was enough already!) They were black and red if that helps...PM me if you like.

James, don't know if anyone's answered yet, but that's Herman's GTS.

Default Found a new shark!

Across from the 928 OCIC Wichita, KS HYATT hotel was a permanent exhibit of one of the older twelve meter America cup yachts.

Barbara and I stopped to take some pictures and found our new shark!!
