Arrived home in PA this morning at 4:45 AM after a long flight delay in Chicago. Kitty and I both had a great time at OCIC. It is always great to get back in direct contact with old friends and to meet so many new ones each event. Sometimes it seems WAY too long to have these as triennial gatherings, but perhaps it helps to allow attendance at the many regional gatherings to be higher.
Our many thanks go out to so many wonderful people. Specifically, but not only to: Jim Mayzurk, Roger Tyson, Jarrod Wise, Laura, Zane, Marc White and Teri Knebel, all the great technical demonstrations, the great people at the venue who brought us GREAT food and drink, the people of Wichita - who provided both the great venue to rent and Saturday night entertainment for many of us with the street car show with what seemed to be over a thousand cars made up of rat rods, lead sleds, wonderfully restored domestics, interesting antiques, and a half dozen Porsches - along with a few dozen other foreign cars.
The Wichita experience was wonderful, then Kitty and I visited the Eisenhower and Truman museums in Abilene KS and Independence MO before attempting to get home by midnight Monday. They were both very interesting and highly recommended. Ed and Helen Scherer also joined us at one of the KC classic BBQ restaurants for a Sunday evening meal.
Obviously, the airlines didn't cooperate with our schedule for getting home, but that didn't deter from having a wonderful time with "you'all". Danke Shoen,
Gary Knox

My 2012 OCIC photos, part 10 (Final batch, finally!)
OK, this is the last of my favorite photos: a last few stragglers from departure day (Sunday). I'm guessing that I posted about 20% or 25% of the photos available in the whole album: 2012 Porsche 928 OCIC.
And... with that, I'll say, "So long!" Hope I didn't kill too many browsers with these photo-heavy posts.
Helen and I thank those who made this OCIC possible, and are looking forward to the next big event. What a great time! Fantastic cars this year, and even more importantly, what a great group of people!
See y'all next time!

928 OCIC Photos
What a great event! Thanks to Roger Tyson and all of the Texas 928 OC members for making this a memorable experience. Jim, Mike, Laura, Zane, Sean and everyone else who worked behind the scenes to make this happen, we're all really grateful for what you did to make it work so well. And to Marc White, Terri, and Mo "Life is good under the hood" Zhar, thanks for the great Wichita hospitality! And thanks to Gary and Kitty Knox for their help and support of another 928 Owners Club event (and for taking me under their wing at the Old Town Car Show). I'm sure that Gary now has the inside track on a new supply of "extraordinary" wheels for 928's
Very high quality cars, great people, and some great innovation at this OCIC. From Andrew Olson's alignment process, Mike Vance's window seal replacement, Jerry Feather's cowl, window and wheel liner products, Herman's closed breather system, to Victor's super charger system installation, all great updates for the 928.
Certainly made me come back with a long wish list of "futures" for the red rocket.
If you are looking for a little more detail and/or specs. for the cars, you'll probably be able to find it at the photo links below. Just click on the link and wait a moment or two for the web page to fully load, then select "slide show" mode, and press the function key "F11" for a full screen view. Move the cursor over any image and the manual control bar will appear so that you can "click" your way through the photos at your own speed.
Warning! There are lots of photos. If needed, you can just browse through them to save time to find the ones which interest you. Feel free to download any of the images. If you need a full resolution copy of any image, just send me a PM and I'll send it to you via email due to the file size.
There are always a few unique details in each photo, so you may be surprised by what you find by looking closely.

I just skimmed a few and will take a better look tonight.
Thanks for taking the time to capture and share all those photos. It's great to have such a nice collection of images to refer to when trying to remember what all was there!

Don't miss the photo links in posts 485 that Ed & Helen Scherer shot, and David Kelly's pics, post # 500. They took many superb pics of the cars & people at OCIC and really captued the essence of the event. Herman, Barb, Tambra & Tony visited Old Town, had a great lunch nearby, and then visited the Coleman musuem and factory outlet after lunch on Fri. T

WOW! THE CARS! I need to do a full frame-off restoration before I'll feel comfortable parking next to any of the other cars I see in the photos. Better get started.
Great looking event! Nice job!

There was a reason mine was in a corner with a cover over the dents. Felt way out of place. It was like a Porsche Parade Concourse event.

Drifting
Exactly my thoughts. My s4 with torn seat leather just would not fit in there....every one is way nice.

LOL Bill, There's a reason my 200,000plus mile GT isn't in many of the pics taken. The wheels and paint shine up nice, but it's a 20footer for sure...

You obviously didn't see the interior of my (okay, my wifes) car. lol We would have won the *worst interior* award, had one been given. I am pleased to say that the exterior on her car looked good, but I was shocked at the build quality and level of customization on display. We are blessed to have Rob and Paul supporting our cars and it was a tour de force in Wichita.
My wife and I would like to thank y'all for an outstanding event! We had a blast and look forward to future opportunities to attend.
Regards, ...Scott
