I owned a 1993 Polar Silver GTS and talked myself into selling it a coupe of years ago. I ended up buying a 2003 M3. I don't suggest this is an answer to the original question as the GTS and M3 are different cars on a number of levels such as engine, styling, engine note, torque, gear box and age. Similarities though are handling , comfort, refinement, everyday drive, and are both great GTs. I drove a 911 once and would never go there. The jag XKR or DB9 or the Mas. But then the new M3 insn't bad either, it just lacks the GTS styling.

My daily drive is a 23 year-old execution of an almost 40 year-old design. It was cutting edge when it was new, with pretty timeless styling. The technology has turned many times since the car was conceived, fewer since the styling was updated to S4, but even that last update was 25+ years ago. If I could buy a "new" 928 with current driveline and safety technology, it would be a great option. Meanwhile, I'm just a well-preserved white-haired old fool in a better-preserved old car. They are fun, they are interesting, they can be pretty, and they are understandably rare. But there is no Medicare for old 928's, just privately-funded care.

Nice car, nice colour.
Its the closest to a 928 I've seen in person.. FR layout, V8, and a lot more back seat space than a 928, good for the kids when they're a little bigger (haven't seen an Aston up close yet).
I was checking out a GranSport (Coupe facelift model) the other day and was impressed by the interior and rear space - they sound great too. A good potential daily driver
The GranSport is on my short list of possible replacements when the kids are too large to fit in the back of a 928.

Man, it would really depend on money, but I have a few...some more realistic than others...
996TT (or 997TT if I won the lottery)
Maserati GranTurismo (SERIOUSLY!!!)
Ferrari (Cali, 360 Spider and/or 456GTA)
Probably the Maser would get the first dibs because it is SO unique and SO beautiful and SO useable! My neighbors have one and every time it goes by I just can't take my eyes off it!

I need to finish the Polecat's new engine install. But my next car will be a DeTomaso, Mongusta, if I can afford one. They'er getting pricey, around 100K for a complete restored car.

i would get a 6 series bmw, or a jag xjr.. we have an xj8 and is is pretty sweet, the extra 100hp would make it a hoot as a daily driver....
i not that then i would say an old muscle car... nothing later than 1972....
i am such a car junkie that i am in love with so many cars it will be hard to decide.

968 Club sport for me. With one of Murf's superchargers. Exquisite handling, great power to weight ratio, cheap (very cheap when compared to DB9 type options), wolf in sheep's clothing, nicely understated vehicle. And repairable unlike, say, a 10 year old Panamera.
