Your Next Car After the 928?

Interesting, thanks.
I have been looking into a 360 too but I keep being put off by things such as failed motor mounts and cracked headers.
How is the interior holding up on yours? Any issue with external mirrors coming loose?

Buy the latest model. Mine is a 2004, the last year for the manual. In 2005 they were all gearing up for the F1 430.
No motor mounts, cracked headers or shaky mirrors. However, interior pieces get the sticky issues which goes away with denatured alcohol and a microfiber cloth.
However, mine has Fabspeed headers and Tubi exhaust. Sound is amazing.
As others have said, come over to the dark side.
As a side note, the car I was attracted to (and still am) in the same price range is a sorted 73+ Pantera. 73+ has the nicer interior and gauges.
Polecat I believe has one of the better ones (GTS??)

Well, I guess I could find a sorted late manual 360, but if I'm feeling wild I would go for a good Cobra replica such as a Superformance 289 FIA with an aluminum body. Over here it would cost twice as much as the 360 though... My wallet would be happier with a 928 for sure.
The Pantera is great. My uncle had a Mangusta back in the days.

Drove another 599 as well, but it was not the right one (slightly curling leather and sticky buttons).

I like the v8's but there's something about 12 cylinders that just does it for me
That said, I was looking at 430's again.. a Scuderia is something interesting

I'm with you on the V8's... Super cool and earth rendering power, but not the visceral sound of the 12 cylinder cars. That is why I am sooooo partial to the 599's... Just need to find one of the 35 manual cars that is the right colors and interior. It's out there, just has to come up for sale and not slip through my fingers...

They are out there but folks tripled the price. No longer a driver's car but garage queens, similar to the F430 manual.
A Scud? Now you're talking. A beautiful beast.

This could work!
Interior is a little ratty and it's priced to the moon! Nearly GTO money for chrissakes!
430 Scud is a V8... Also can't quite get my head around to falling in love with the styling of the front... Sides and rear are beautiful...
The 599 still turns my head..

Yes they are gto money. I'm thinking an hgte with headers will make the same power as a gto.
You can also convert it to a gated shifter and have something unique......
I know a guy....

Lots of conversions being done by Art.
They're lining up. He gives you a choice of OE or re-production parts since the F1 and manual trannies share the same parts except the 3rd pedal and linkages.

The build quality is terrible and the materials are second rate. It's loads of plastic compared to metal and leather.
The shape is interesting but it's lacking in feel and soulful connection.
I was invited to preview it and was very unimpressed.

The Roma is like that manic depressive stripper that you ride hard and put away hot and sweaty... They are fun while they last, but good god man you don't want to keep em around for long!
A 928 is a car you can keep. Sexy, strong, well built and reliable... You can take the 928 home to introduce her to the parents. They will approve!

Looks great except for the front grill! Best from the side or behind
Don't take her home, just on vacation
