You know it is almost like Bernie and others WANT F1 to fail in the USA! Lets see, Dallas, Phoenix, Vegas and now Austin...ALL in the summer! SERIOUSLY?! It will be a zillion freaking degrees and what the hell do they care about having the race following on the heels of Canada. There are folks that would probably go to BOTH races if they were separated by a month or two that WON'T go to both when they are back to back and in this case, skip the US race because of the crappy weather!

 

I hear the Austin GP is 6/17/2012.

That is the correct date as of now!

 

Hope that date stays or they move it one week earlier, I may go to SITM (always first weekend in June) and then head to Texas! Nice extended vacation ending in a F1 race....

You guys might consider starting a new thread with the new date - there may be folks who have written off going because of the prior date.

 

Guys, just in case you missed it the date for next years USGP is changing to Nov pending approval of the FIA (or FOCA, or one of the other governing bodies!) Thank goodness too! June would have been MISERABLE...even if the weather were like last June (which was much cooler than this June).

As any 3rd Coast attendee can attest Novembers are usually quite nice... Now, thinking about 2012 3rd Coast maybe it should be held in conjunction with the F1 event???? Or maybe we need to have an event associated w/ the F1 race in addition to 3rd Coast?

Just thinking ahead as the 3rd Coast thread has come alive!

I figured you were on it Rog, but mostly wanted to give a heads up for any who might have missed the date change! Doing it in Nov should make it an AWESOME EVENT! Not to mention it will give Tavo and his group time to get not only the track but all the infrastructure finished as well! SWEET!
