I used to be a Indy F1 season ticket holder.

Loved the race -- but the 911 cup race was even more fun.

Great wheel to wheel (with a bit of rubbing) and it was open seating!

Hung out on the back stretch just before the hairpin. Lots of 8 wheel cornering.

Now what I really want to do is go drive the track -- when will be the first open track day :-)

Yes on the list --

my 928 should come out of hibernation soon -- told the work is wrapping up and Budd just sent the dash via fed ex.

Been busy with other toys. Had to rebuild the 924S engine -- running good, now for some track time.
And I swapped the 996 we rebuilt for a RSR replica. Way cool car.
Needs engine rebuilt -- tore it down this weekend.

So long story short -- I've been busy.

Have a DE 2nd week in June -- so maybe July *** meeting.

Mike

Neat RS(R)... I was on MOPAC today an saw a road going clone (I am guessing anyway) of the early '70's RS. It was in that bright blue (a bit darker blue than BLUE82) and it looked AWESOME! SUPER WELL KEPT CAR! Had the rocker graphics on it and the duck tail spoiler! VERY COOL!

Hey, speaking of the other races, how about those maniacs in F360 Ferraris? Couldn't believe what I was seeing, banging fenders and swapping paint out there! Who would do that ?!?!

The Supercup 911s were great too, and some great racing too.

Um, yeah. If I can't get to this race I will be VERY VERY VERY upset. I think I've already talked with James about it a bit. I'm hoping that gptours is doing something special for the first USGP in Austin.

I am sure GP Tours will do something great...the question is will we be able to partake even though we are not staying at a hotel with them and stuff... I hope there is some kind of package that we can buy that gets us some good treatment and some parties and interviews with drivers but stay at my house...

Alex, you might want to watch out...you are running with a bad group there! No good can come from that! LOL! I love those guys! It was one hell of a *** GTG that 2nd Sat of January this year at Twin Peaks when the group came down to see us!

James is correct, Alex. You could get a bad rep hanging out or even saying that you hang out with the DFW crowd.

By the way, Rhonda and I would there for this event.

OK with all the interest I will be looking for a small hotel about an hour away from the venue. Once the date is announced I can jump on a block booking before the rush. Others can stay at Jame's place or mine if the hotel does not fit the bill. Lot's of options.

Maybe a "corporate chalet" of some type like I provided at the international air shows - Paris, Farnbourgh and Singapore. This may be possible with enough participants and I have to have somewhere to spend all these dollars I am making 8>). Lots of contacts in the Formula One industry - now where is Alex Burns phone number 8>)

Roger, I know you and Bernie had a falling out a few years ago, but if he is still in charge of F1 when this thing goes off, Kiss his **** and get us some unlimited access passes.

After I nearly got caught with that "bondage" issue with Max, Bernie and I no longer see eye to eye (joke)
