Count me in! Maybe a few us from the Bay Area and follow each other
I will be the one behind the car with radar detector. Having been to a number of the Canadian F1 races and the 1st Indy race as well as 3 of the Shanghai races
I don't think that there will be any issues with the way the races are run. The Phoenix
debacle is long gone as well as the tire issues that was the problem at Indy.
Grand Prix Tours offer a decent package.

June 17th in Austin? How many heat stroke deaths will there be at that race? I know that it's on the North American leg of the tour, but jeez, it's gonna be toasty...
Awesome that they're coming, though!

If only we knew someone with a pool. Not just a pool, but a shaded pool - a huge, shaded pool, with a stone beach entry and a waterfall. And, something SW of the metroplex on the way to hwy 281, the preferred route to the race on that weekend. Someone with a large shaded patio, and a large bbq to grill chicken and brats. With an extra fridge full of tall boys and wine coolers.
Hmmmmm. If only there was such a place. Once can dream......

I lived in Houston for 11 years, and spent many summer days running and biking in and around SE Texas. Hence the questioning about the intelligence of scheduing the race in June. But I guess it wouldn't be any worse than Malaysia or Bahrain, from the perspective of the race teams. And hell, if Doc's icing down wine coolers, where do I sign up?

If the weather is like what this year has been so far it is going to be MISERABLE! SERIOUSLY MISERABLE! For EVERYONE! They need to tie this race with Brazil, NOT Canada! I know logistically it makes more sense to tie it with Canada, but from a weather perspective a Nov race tied with Brazil would be PERFECT! Our Novembers are normally GORGEOUS! This May and June have been more like July and August...my yard is DEAD...ugh! We have not had any significant rain in a VERY LONG time!
