Well, yesterday wasn't April 1st, and judging by the workmanship I've seen in person on his cars, if anyone could make this work, it's Larry.
Wait- is a C5 Z06 transaxle a ... wait for it... 6-speed?
J/K Larry, will look forward to seeing the execution.

When will SITP be this year? It never seems to mesh with my schedule. Also, the car is not street legal, so I have to trailer it down from Tahoe (not fun). We will hopefully have the car at Thunderhill on May 13-15.
As to those with doubts-you should have them. This is not an easy swap to do right. If it was, it would have been done by now. Our goal is to create the parts that will make it easier - not necessarily cheap, but definitely easier. If we can't create parts to sell, this will be a very expensive one-off race car that may or may not handle very well.
Again-you won't see any pictures until we have parts to sell on the shelf or have decided it isn't a viable project.

A strong 6-speed transmission is really something that the 928 needs these days. It will make modified ones more reliable, make them faster due to better gear ratios, and also bring much better gas mileage with the extra long 6th gear. If you can make this transmission fit without a lot of modification to the body, that would definitely be something I would be interested in.

Thanks. Just got your email on Sharks in the Park. Probably will be grinding hard so we can get the car ready for the track. No matter how soon we begin, seems we're always behind the eight ball.

I'm a customer as soon as this becomes available and is proven to work well.
FYI, for those curious. ALL Corvette's with a manual transmission from '89 have been 6-speeds.

The original post was made on the morning of April 1st, ...in Japan (and thereabouts - I know, because my brother is there, helping get damaged equipment back up to snuff in Miho, just outside of Tokyo - he calls us at night, when it's already the morning of the next day there).
Just because I'm paranoid does not mean they are not after me, and just because this was posted on April 1st....
I do believe a Weissach badge on the dash would be an appropriate touch, however..

Love the bus!
My posts use "we" because there are lots of people who help with these more extreme projects. I am not a Louie Ott or Mike Simard. I need other people to do most of the work that requires a skill set (and tools) I don't possess. I will also use "we" when it's just me.
