Hi Lucio... Nice to see you posting. I was wondering... Driving a 928 in Winter in Italy might be ok, but did you really drive to CH with it during the winter?! LOL... Hope to see you again soon!
mee too, I'll back in Aarburg this Winter...Still with 928....
Are You still looking for a 928 in europe?
Towed the vehicle to the shop so we can swap out the tranny this weekend. Took the covers off the 'new' tranny and had a look around. Everything is a go.
Replaced the last-planned oil hose under the hood. Just need to do a bit of debris clean-up, put the wheels back on, lower her down from the jack stands.
Hopefully she starts up OK tomorrow after a multi-month nap.
Well, I put the battery on the charger, just to juice it up.
So I hook it up, and give the wifey a disclaimer about starting the car, since its 2:30 am.
It fires right up, I give her (Ellie, not the wifey ) a couple good red line revs, wifey says "I'm sure The neighbors appreciated that.".
I got the good news that my trans isn't toast, but with the bad news that the issue didn't reappear when the guys as Hi Tech drove it around. So maybe it was just unhappy...
They did fix my mystery starter issue though, now the damn thing'll start when it's hot.
I also got the news that I need to replace the battery (4 years old, it's time) and my rear trans lines leak (knew that one ).
I should be able to pick up the car soon and be able to drive it around without issue from now on.
I drove her hard and enjoyed her to the fullest as part of the annual 3rd coast event. She ran flawlessly. Afterward cleaned her up and is now ready for another day tomorrow. Both my wife and I couldn't be happier to be a part of the 928 family.
Hi guy's,
I drove the car on hyway and...
220km/h in red line in 3rd of my auto trans!
(Had à race with a Merk c350 Amg)
Not enough ***** to match the handeling if a shark at that speed!
A trully incredible machine...
Porsche like nothing else!
Just making sure all was well and making sure the grounds were clean etc.....
And I found this...
Looks factory although the Z relay bridge off of XXII and two fuse holders weren't. My guess is trailer harness. Plugged in but four pin not connect to anything. Bueller?
Factory like colors (red, orange, black and brown)
Looks like it was hotter than I thought this summer and the plastic on the hood crest curled and fell off. This crest is only 2 years old. Anyway, I removed all the black and red and going to try butt-naked for a while.
