Hi
New guy here (long time lurker)
I'm just finishing my audio update. Porsche classic radio navigator, Focal speakers front and far back and jl audio c3 6" in rear, MOSCONI GLADEN D2 100.4 DSP fits in the original amp spot, Sub in the spare tire spot, Dynamat everything I could reach It sounds so wonderful! then I hit the Nav button and NO MAPS? oh well. If anyone knows where to get US maps for this thing I would really appreciate knowing.
Yes pictures of your install required for sure. I just bought a set of Focal 100KRS for the front stage to be driven by an old school A/D/S P440 in active crossover mode by Pioneer DEH80-PRS head unit. Not sure what to do about the rear speakers, PO had a set of BA 6" separates installed in the B Pillar and rear quarters, thinking about replacing them with the earthquake SW's with Hans' adapters (need to wait for him to do another run) or something like the C3's + a powered spare tire SW (currently have the cheap 5 1/4" ebay unit in there and it sounds surprisingly good for what it is.) I'd drive whichever B pillar speakers with a separate P440 but I need to settle on a strategy for amp installation, leaning towards mounting to the back of the rear seats with some kind of rack/cover installation.
I just went simple
Focal 100 KRS front and rear and a JL powered 8' sub. The Mosconi giver me 100 watts per Chanel and the DSP onboard is just killer.
Yes the Mosconi is by all accounts a beast. If I didn't have my two power plates sitting around it would be tempting to go for something similar. Did the front speakers drop in without modification?
Kevin
I had to take a dremel to the tweeter housing so I could use the stock cover the 4" cover fits just inside the Focal one The amp is built into the ported box and just fits very snug in the spare well after dynamating I just cut a hole in the well cover and "presto!" Everything is wired and fused in the spare well and the sub plugs right in so I can remove it to get to the battery
The Mosconi factory rep(nice guy) came by after I called him and we soent about 4 or 5 hours dialing it in. Now the only thing I hate about my baby in that stupid CLOCK!!. I complained so long and hard about it that this mysteriously came to my door yesterday... I think I know who sent it because it had a German postmark but he isn't sating and I won't tell he has them.

Wow that's great service, I doubt I'll be able to get the Pioneer rep to come out and do the same for me
I wish I could run Focals like you but I'm too scared of someone breaking into my car to steal things. Your install must be pure SQL with those components and it must sound amazing.
Nice installation on the stereo, love the look of that head unit!
So for those with analog clocks and no rear A/C, how is the analog clock attached to the center console trim piece? There's no rear A/C **** shafts to hold it in place?
I think I will actually get one more and put it in the middle to cover up the hole from the stock one. Alan
Well I did order and install another one - so now there are three lights under there. Very bright and not having a single point source helps with shadow reduction.
Very happy with this upgrade! Much better than stock in every way. See the earlier thread (with 2 lights) a few pages back for more details.

Pictures: all three lights on, Switch off - only switch is illuminated, totally dark garage - almost like daylight, and again...
