What a work of art, and every single piece bubble wrapped in a carton with lots of other packing material ... not a shipping mark on it !

While I'm fitting the system, I'll also get the manifolds ceramic coated .... can't wait to hear the GTS sing.
Wow, that's the good stuff. Quite and investment, and then shipping- eek.

I'll be hoping for pics installed and .wmv or youtube in action!

I refastened MOMO steering wheel.

I took a guy who works for me for a bit of a ride. Traffic was a bit heavy, but we did get her to 110. We took a nice gentle loop ramp at scary speed and he was grabbing for something. It was fun but we couldn't really go. He seemed to enjoy himself and couldn't get past the almost thirty year old car. He was amazed that it still looks current and beautiful (his words not mine). He did say the console is the real give away to her age. She always makes me smile.

Put the Central Fuse Panel back in the Stepson. Hopefully, whatever I had plugged wrong in the 100 degree last time I had it in is plugged correctly this time in the 90 degree temperature. It will run this weekend. (Power of positive thinking)

Clean more of the internals of my removed HVAC unit. Then my dad manages to lose a small but very important grommet after he took a part from me . Spent an hour looking for it, but no luck. Going to refoam it; then sound deaden and refoam the interior hopefully tomorrow.

I took her for my first actual drive after working on it for months. I had gotten most of the old gas out and put a half tank of new 93 in it. After about 3 miles all of the sputters and weirdness the car had been showing before were gone. The car ran great! Good acceleration...smooth shifting....I'm very pleased!

Wasn't planning on any repairs/maintenance today, but the tail light insulation/drain holes looked like a quick easy. Happy with the result. Was a two cup of coffee job.
Beautiful sunny, dry day up here in Northern New England. Going to wash, Nu Finish, and drive the car a bit.

Default bunch of stuff

Wrapped up my fuel line replacement. Started and not a drop. Cleaned all of the grounds under the hood. 100 degree heat, man I was sweating but decided I'd get all of them. At up a dremel wire wheel on the job - wear eye protection with those, the little wires just fly off the wheel and into your face/shirt.

After the grounds I installed a new bowden cable to to the intake, properly routed, as opposed to the last one. Thanks for the help from Maine Porsche and others. I set the micro switch very well then on to the pressure/kick down cable and adjusted it too then drove it.

What a difference! I don't think it's where it needs to be though; I need someone to drive it that knows what it's supposed to feel like. Before it was sluggish off the line; I'm pretty sure because of the micro switch being out of adjustment. As well I adjusted all of the adjustment out of the kickdown cable....

Next I need to focus on AC and vacuum.

Default Tried to match the 928's crankcase to the simulation results

Spent the day trying to match a major car company's crankcase windage simulation results to the 928 S4 crankcase. Let's say that my understanding has improved, but I am still some ways from getting there.

A messy, dirty day getting ready to pull the engine (head gaskets), disconnected the fuel system and most of the engine harness and associated ancillaries. Have also pulled the main and AC radiators, PS reservoir to get in there for a through clean. Engine mounts are completely collapsed, will have a few things to undo once the enginer is released from the body.
