Not today but over the last few weeks: upgraded front brakes to S4's with 330mm rotors and HPS pads, new front wheel bearings & brake lines, rebuilt the upper ball joints, replaced the rack bushings with the solid aluminum units, new tie rods, and now I'm sitting here getting a wheel alignment. Looking forward to driving her home

A little late night work.
Received my new hvac controller today. Removed the incandescent illumination and multi-strand fiberoptic filaments, and replaced with my LED illumination and single fiberoptic filaments. I had them all connected as one unit, so the trade in was straightforward.

pulled fuses 8, 13, 17, 23, and 29, all were fine.

opened the center dash panel, looked for any disconected wires, none were found.

then I moved a slider and turned on my AC... turned out the problem was user error.

Tried to plug oil leak at porkensioner.

Torqued rear pinch bolt

Torqued rear flex plate bolts

Torqued rear half shaft bolts.

Tried and failed to replace oil galley plug in head. Last one and I screwed it up.
Threw wrench, had to go look for wrench. Now waiting on parts from Roger.

Degreased rear axle, front engine bay in preparation for new belly pan.

Reapplied liquid electrical tape to oil sensor near alternator.

Checked front flex plate. Dead flat.

Checked rear a/c lines for tightness just cause car was in air.

Checked all heat shield bolts for tightness since car is in air.

Fixed small kink in radiator overflow hose.

Bought some Valvoline 20/50 oil and STP for ZDDP so I can change oil when the parts from Roger show up.

Researched how to change trans fluid but still unsure.

Went and rode my bike for short 25 mile ride for some therapy.

Applied a more robust secondary relay for ac compressor engagement. Received new controller for the old one had a fault in ground track 4 on the circuit board, and finished adding my LED illumination/monofilament fiberoptics to it last night. Also put in a new O rig for the oil dipstick - had small leak there as a result of the old ring being disintegrated.

Gave it a bath after returning from a 23 day, 16 state, 5,673 mile road trip. The HVAC blower started acting up the first day out, but thanks to Roger at 928's R US and Tom at 928 Int'l, I was able to change out the entire blower unit with an upgraded motor and later fan housing. The car ran great and got 21-24 mpg along the way.

Fixed headlight issue. All I had to do was adjust the headlight lift bar and discovered that the new euro light is literally like a torch. Keep driving her as she is one of the few 928s to be used as a daily driver.

Confirmed it gets at least 22+ miles to the gallon, even with my quick driving habits. Also managed to make the gas gauge work again. Next project, tear out all A/C components, rebuild the HVAC unit and replace all lines and compressor along with all o-rings and vacuum pods so it will be properly converted to R134a and be ice cold and running for the next 15 years without a problem. I need A/C for the next school year anyways. Should also give me a chance to replace the ignition switch, after all, I need to tear out the front half of my 81's interior.

During fuel line work noted some oil residue in the 'V'. Discovered one of the R sided crankshaft vent hoses detached at the MAF. Re-attached this. Was a PITA. Other vacuum lines inspected, and all well in preparation to replace fuel cooler, FPR, and GB fuel line to cooler.

Replaced the last of the 3 fuel dampeners and fuel lines. Buttoned it back up. Tomorrow back to emissions testing. Keeping my fingers crossed as almost everything else has been replaced at this point.

- dampeners
- LH
- plugs
- MAF
- injectors
- rubber vacuum elbows
- smog pump hose from air-box to diaphragm
- O2 sensor
- temp 2 semsor
