Kijk naar...
If you look at the pictures from the "marktplaats" link than you can see the arms have a distinct angle versus the 928 being straight.
So together with the ultra blade they will be lower and rest in a horizontal plane versus angled up on the windshield.
Any idea how much the in Europe shipping charges are for an item like this?

Once we dig out from yet another snow, I'm heading back to the VW shop with a tape measure.

I don't know, if you guys are aware of this - early 928 wiper arms are higher than those on the later cars. I believe the changeover was with the S4, but it could have been a year or two sooner (not sure).
The older cars would probably benefit the most from the Lupo GTI wiper arm conversion.

Not much to gain only a little bit more parallel to the cowl at rest (my current wipers set up are in the picture) and perhaps a stronger spring action.
Still checking some more option

It appears a stronger spring action is needed to hold down the unit. The outer end of the pass side blade on Herman's 928 above looks there just barely touching the windshield ? Karsten/Darklands claims the Lupo arms do have a stronger spring that just might be needed. Karsten's W/W arms also appear to be laying lower than any of the OEM's that I have seen. (Post # 24 on this thread) Also note that the Consumer Reports rated the Valeo 600 series wiper blades # 1 in performance and were half the price of the Bosch blades that came in at # 8 in the same review. In a perfect world i would like to create a quick disconnect on the wiper hub so they can be removed then the hole covered with a colormatched cap. To do this though the wiper would have to have the "male" section and the hub on the car the female section.
each his own in their car...do what you want!!

Rain X works great, if you are MOVING faster than 40mph.
no wipers are ONLY for race cars in my opinion.

I've been doing Rain-X for years, in a place where it seldom rains and I seldom drive when it does. A couple summers ago the trip to Texas for OCIC was peppered (and more) with rain on the way. Most of the days in Texas had rain at some point. Rain-X was fine, and did what I expected, but still no substitute fo wipers when on the DFW freeways with rain plus tire spray covering the windscreen.
I guess the real question is about carrying the wipers and stuff in the car all the time, and just putting them on when rain threatens. No worries with that. It just seems like a heap of hassle.

You need a cool way to have the wipers hidden when not in use. Then make a pantograph arm and just one wiper that goes edge-to-edge, yet folds out of the way when not in use. Two motors. First the regular wiper motor to move the arm. Second, similar to the headlight motor setup, to rotate the second pantograph arm pivot down so the wiper parks horizontally.
